Chapter 1814: Chapter 1813: Do You Like It?
As soon as the little assistant left the office, Bai Xiaoxiao’s phone rang.
Bai Xiaoxiao slowly took out her phone. Seeing the caller ID, her smile beca even brighter. Her delicate fingers pressed the answer button, and her voice was as gentle as a breeze, making the listener feel relaxed and happy.
“Hello!”
“Xiaoxiao, do you like those roses?”
Luo Haofeng’s voice ca through the waves, deep and joyful. It wasn’t hard to imagine how handso and charming his expression was at this mont.
Bai Xiaoxiao replied with a smile, “I like them, they’re very beautiful.”
“Haha, as long as you like them. I originally thought sending flowers was a bit cliché, but I figured only those fiery red roses could express my feelings.”

After chatting with him for a few minutes, she said softly, “I have to work now, so I can’t talk anymore.”

Bai Xiaoxiao threatened the assistant with a stern face.
Sure enough, that was the most effective line. As soon as she heard her salary might be docked, the assistant disappeared from Bai Xiaoxiao’s office in less than ten seconds.

Because of the bouquet of flowers from Luo Haofeng, Bai Xiaoxiao was in a good mood all day.

It’s a festival, and if she went to be the third wheel, she’d definitely be unwelco.
Wen Ran retorted from the other end, “Look at you, as if Mo Xiuchen is petty like that. Tonight at Yi Pin Xuan.”
“Okay, I got it.”
In this week at work, the group hadn’t had ti to get together.
Tonight is the Lantern Festival, so a gathering is a must.
“Xiaoxiao, there’s sothing else I need to tell you.”
“What is it?” Xiaoxiao blinked in confusion.
Wen Ran’s voice gently ca through the phone, “Last night, Qin Mu told Mo Xiuchen that ng Ke might be involved in so illegal activities.”
“Illegal?”
Bai Xiaoxiao still found it hard to believe.
“Yes, don’t tell anyone for now. The police are still collecting evidence.”
Besides Qin Mu, only Wen Ran and Mo Xiuchen knew about it, and by telling Bai Xiaoxiao, it was just the four of them who knew.
Even Gu Kai and Wen Jin weren’t aware yet.
The fewer people who knew about such a thing, the better. ng Ke was already being watched by the police, and Tang Yang would be back from the U.S. in a few days.

After hanging up, Bai Xiaoxiao noticed her dad was looking at her, so she blinked and smiled, “Dad, Ranran asked to go to Yi Pin Xuan for a gathering tonight.”
“What did Ranran just tell you?”
Mr. Bai wasn’t so old that he was deaf. He clearly heard what Bai Xiaoxiao had just said.
Thinking of Wen Ran’s instructions, Bai Xiaoxiao grinned awkwardly, “Dad, Ranran told not to tell anyone for the ti being. It’s about ng Ke, because there’s no evidence yet.”
Mr. Bai knowingly nodded and stopped pressing, “So, is there really sothing wrong with ng Ke?”
“Yes, he has problems.”
Bai Xiaoxiao looked very serious.
Little did she expect Mr. Bai’s next words, “Xiaoxiao, if you don’t want to go ho for lunch, that’s fine. I’ll go back. Since ng Ke is at our house, he’s a guest. We can’t leave him hanging there, it’s too impolite.”

Bai Xiaoxiao pressed her lips again, morosely saying, “I hope Xiao Yuting can handle Xu Wanfei and get her to tell the truth. That way, we won’t have to deal with ng Ke anymore.”
Just thinking about ng Ke’s despicable kidnapping of her mother made it impossible for Bai Xiaoxiao to force herself to deal with him.
