Luo Haofeng originally wanted Mo Xiuchen to stay at his villa.
But Mo Xiuchen ruthlessly refused, for a simple reason: if he went to the villa, what would Jiang Hui do alone in the hotel?
“Xiuchen, are you really afraid she won’t have a chance to seduce you?”
Luo Haofeng slowed down the car, looking at Mo Xiuchen in the rearview mirror.
Mo Xiuchen raised his eyebrows noncommittally, “Let’s wait to see what task ng Ke assigned to her before saying anything.”
To a woman he found disgusting, did you really think he was willing?
Mo Xiuchen really wanted to roll his eyes, it was simply ungrateful. Who was he doing this for?
After dropping Mo Xiuchen at the hotel, Luo Haofeng took Bai Xiaoxiao back to his villa. As he led her to the sofa in the living room, his phone rang.
“Ah Feng, you need to co over quickly.”
The voice on the phone was Tian Ruoyi’s mother. Luo Haofeng paused, concerned, “Auntie, has sothing happened?”
“Ruoyi was just vomiting, saying she’s pregnant.”
Upon hearing this, a trace of astonishnt appeared on Luo Haofeng’s face as he glanced at Bai Xiaoxiao beside him and said gently, “Auntie, did Ruoyi say anything else?”
“Ruoyi said the child isn’t yours, Ah Feng, what does Ruoyi’s words an?”
Aunt Tian was confused by her daughter’s words, and her heart was filled with doubts.
Her daughter and Luo Haofeng were dating, and the two seed to have a good relationship. This morning she found out her daughter was vomiting, and after pressing her, learned she was pregnant.
However, Ruoyi said the child wasn’t Luo Haofeng’s.
Luo Haofeng rubbed his forehead with so headache, not expecting Tian Ruoyi to be pregnant. It’s easy to guess that the child is surely Jian Yiwei’s.
It seems their and Bai Xiaoxiao’s experience enlightened Tian Ruoyi. She followed their example and acted first before reporting.
“Auntie, I will be there soon.”
After hanging up the phone, Luo Haofeng said to Bai Xiaoxiao, “Xiaoxiao, Ruoyi is pregnant with Jian Yiwei’s child, and Auntie Tian wants to go to their house.”
“Do you want to accompany you?”
Earlier, Bai Xiaoxiao couldn’t hear what Aunt Tian was saying, but upon hearing Luo Haofeng, she imdiately showed a worried expression.
She worried that Luo Haofeng would be scolded by visiting the Tian family.
Knowing that Tian Ruoyi’s parents thought they were genuinely dating, once they found out Luo Haofeng and their daughter were just pretending, they might direct their anger at Luo Haofeng.
Gently holding Bai Xiaoxiao’s hand, Luo Haofeng said warmly, “Xiaoxiao, don’t worry, I’ll be back soon. You can rest at ho and wait for .”
If Ruoyi’s parents were going to be upset, he certainly wouldn’t take Xiaoxiao along and expose her to their anger.
“Are you sure?”
Bai Xiaoxiao asked, still worried.
“No problem, wait for my call at ho.”
After speaking, Luo Haofeng kissed her lips gently before getting up to leave.
Just as he stepped outside, he received a call from the driver saying they lost track of the person.
Luo Haofeng frowned, asking sternly, “How did you lose track of them?”
“She seed to notice and went into a supermarket, and hasn’t co out for a long while… Should I keep waiting here?”
“Forget it, no need to wait.”
Luo Haofeng pondered for a mont and instructed the driver to co back.
After hanging up, he furrowed his brows tightly. It seed Jiang Hui really had sothing to do and was being particularly cautious.
Otherwise, she wouldn’t have noticed being followed by the driver.
Getting in the car, Luo Haofeng dialed Mo Xiuchen’s number. The call rang several tis before Mo Xiuchen’s voice ca through, “Hello.”
“Xiuchen, the person following Jiang Hui lost track of her. She went into a supermarket and hasn’t co out.”
There was a mont of silence on the phone.
Mo Xiuchen’s calm voice ca through, “Lost track, then there’s nothing we can do. We can only see what she intends to do, or is there sothing you need her to do?”
“Could it be that ng Ke has accomplices in B City, or are they targeting Xiaoxiao here?”
This was what Luo Haofeng could temporarily think of.
“Maybe.”
Mo Xiuchen’s tone was sowhat perfunctory, his instincts telling him it wasn’t likely.
ng Ke couldn’t have anticipated Xiaoxiao would co to B City.
Xiaoxiao ca with them, and Jiang Hui only found out this morning. Aside from them, no one else knew.
Therefore, Jiang Hui should have other matters.
Mo Xiuchen thought the first possibility was more likely. Could it be ng Ke also had accomplices in B City? Tang Yang had ntioned this cri group was widespread, potentially involving many people.
Since ng Ke was wanted, the investigation included people across various fields who had connections with ng Ke’s travel agency.
Jiang Hui returned to the hotel at eleven o’clock.
Xiuchen opened the room door, seeing Jiang Hui standing outside. A flicker of surprise flashed in his deep eyes, “Why did you co back so quickly, didn’t you go out for a walk?”
Jiang Hui laughed brightly and playfully said, “I had the driver take for a spin but didn’t find anywhere particularly appealing. Thinking of the afternoon’s work, I decided to co back.”
“Don’t worry about the work.”
“Has Mo General not eaten lunch yet? I saw the dishes in the downstairs restaurant looked good; let’s go eat together!”
Mo Xiuchen hesitated slightly, calmly answering, “It’s okay to take a look.”
Seeing him agree, Jiang Hui’s smile brightened a few degrees, and they headed to the restaurant downstairs together, where Jiang Hui surprisingly took the initiative to order food.
Moreover, the dishes she ordered were all Mo Xiuchen’s favorites.
About this, Jiang Hui laughed naturally, “It seems everyone in the company knows Mo General’s preferences. I hear them talk about it every day, so I rembered. Just not sure if they’re right?”
“Is that so, how co I wasn’t aware of this?”
Mo Xiuchen’s lips curled slightly, his words revealing no emotion.
Jiang Hui laughed cheekily, “Mo General only has eyes for Mrs. Mo, but all the female employees of the Haochen Group have eyes for Mo General, so of course, you don’t hear other won discussing you.”
“So, it’s too easy at work, with employees across the company using work ti for gossip.”
Suddenly, Mo Xiuchen’s handso face sank, and his aura imdiately gave off a cold feeling.
Jiang Hui’s smile froze, panic flashing in her eyes, quickly explaining, “Mo General, don’t misunderstand or get angry; everyone only chats during lunch breaks, not during work hours.”
If Mo Xiuchen punished everyone in the company because of her, she wouldn’t be able to survive at Haochen.
“Let’s eat.”
The dishes were served one after another, and Mo Xiuchen glanced briefly at Jiang Hui and said blandly.
Jiang Hui looked at Mo Xiuchen with sowhat cautious eyes. Upon hearing his words, she smiled uncomfortably and picked up her chopsticks, placing the dishes on her plate for Mo Xiuchen, “Mo General, please try them.”
