Mo Xiuchen noncommittally said, “Yeah, it’s the police.”
“Jiang Hui is just a college student. It’s impossible for her to have anti-surveillance abilities to the extent that she can even shake off the police, right?”
If that were true, the police following her might as well go ho and eat by themselves.
“Let’s hope so, wait for the results.”
Half an hour later, Luo Haofeng and Mo Xiuchen were sitting on the leather sofa in his hotel room.
The faint aroma of coffee wafted through the air, sunlight stread through the half-drawn floor-to-ceiling curtains, perfectly lighting up half of Luo Haofeng’s handso face, reflecting a shimring glow.
Mo Xiuchen’s tall fra leaned lazily against the sofa, his deep eyes slightly lowered, staring at the coffee cup, “Who do you think Jiang Hui wants to et?”
Mo Xiuchen asked nonchalantly, not too concerned.
The person Jiang Hui wanted to et was likely soone connected to ng Ke.
Both Mo Xiuchen and Luo Haofeng never thought that ng Ke heard so things he shouldn’t have from Wu Jingfang, which led him to send Jiang Hui to do those things.
The reason Wu Jingfang told Luo Rongbin that she had seen ng Ke was that Luo Rongbin noticed her abnormality and kept questioning, forcing her to say sothing.
But she didn’t tell the whole truth and hid part of it.
Luo Haofeng shook his head and coldly said, “How would I know.”
Just then, Mo Xiuchen’s phone rang.
Mo Xiuchen took out his phone, glanced at the caller ID, and his lips curved into a mysterious smile, “Here’s the call.”
After surveilling for so long, there’s no way they were shaken off.
After all, it’s the police, different from ordinary people.
Luo Haofeng’s expression turned serious, his keen, romantic eyes fixed on him.
Mo Xiuchen pressed the answer button with his long finger and said softly, “Hello.”
“Mo General, Jiang Hui t a young man in the café, we took a few photos…”
A young man?
Mo Xiuchen’s brow slightly furrowed, a shadowy glint flashed in his eyes, “Where are you now?”
“We’re on our way back to the hotel, will be there soon.”
“What about Jiang Hui, where did she go?”
“She also went back to the hotel.”

A minute later, the other party sent the photos to Mo Xiuchen’s phone.
Mo Xiuchen glanced at them, handed the phone to Luo Haofeng, and said in a deep voice, “Jiang Hui t him.”
Luo Haofeng hadn’t seen the photos yet, but hearing Mo Xiuchen’s tone, his handso face subtly changed.
Taking the phone and seeing the photos on it, his expression changed several tis, his thin lips pressed tightly together, and he spoke three words solemnly, “Qi Jianlin.”
Qi Jianlin, is Qi iling’s brother.
“Why would Jiang Hui et Qi Jianlin, and it was ng Ke who sent her.” Thinking of sothing, Luo Haofeng suddenly looked at Mo Xiuchen with tension.
Mo Xiuchen guessed so things from his tense expression, his face becoming serious, “You’re suspecting that ng Ke knows sothing from back then, so he sent Jiang Hui to find Qi Jianlin?”
It sounded rhetorical, but it was actually affirmative.
The Qi family had been in decline for years, and recently showed no signs of resurgence.
There really must be so involvent with ng Ke?
Back then, Mo Xiuchen investigated the Qi family father and son, but although they had so issues, they were not like ng Ke.
“Xiuchen, I’ll call Qi Jianlin imdiately, you ask Jiang Hui what she knows exactly? The things from back then must not be allowed to co out.” Luo Haofeng looked seriously at Mo Xiuchen. Ever since he t Qi iling last ti, he had sowhat looked out for the Qi family.
This in turn made him overlook the Qi family father and son, who might tell the past incidents for the sake of benefit.
Thinking of this, Luo Haofeng regretfully slapped his head, took out his phone, and dialed Qi iling’s number.
He didn’t have Qi Jianlin’s number, so he could only call Qi iling to ask.
Seeing Luo Haofeng so worried, Mo Xiuchen’s expression cooled slightly and he stood up and left the room.
He dialed Jiang Hui’s number.
The phone rang twice, and Jiang Hui’s voice ca through the phone, gentle with a hint of warmth, “Hello, Mo General.”
“Are you back yet?”
Mo Xiuchen asked succinctly, his deep voice revealing no emotion.
On the other end, Jiang Hui’s voice was cheerful, “Mo General, I’ll be there soon.”
“I’ll wait for you in the café, don’t go back to the room first, co over directly.”
“Okay, Mo General.” Jiang Hui readily agreed.
She calculated her ti, definitely not wanting to miss tonight’s banquet. Therefore, Mo Xiuchen finding her so early likely ant he had sothing else.
Jiang Hui had just finished her call with Mo Xiuchen and was hesitating whether to tell Mo Xiuchen about Bai Xiaoxiao, to use it as leverage for sothing?
But then her phone rang suddenly.
She hesitated for a few seconds before answering, ng Ke’s voice ca from afar, carrying a chill of the dark night, making Jiang Hui’s heart shiver.
“How did it go?”
Jiang Hui’s face changed, her brain working quickly, how did ng Ke know so soon?
Did he have soone tailing her?
“I did et Qi Jianlin, but he was unwilling to talk.” Jiang Hui hesitated and, for so reason, chose not to tell ng Ke the truth.
Instead, she opted to lie.
ng Ke snorted coldly on the other side of the line, “Jiang Hui, surely you haven’t been chard by Mo Xiuchen, right? If Qi Jianlin really didn’t know, why would you transfer money to him?”
Jiang Hui’s face turned pale, and her heart was imdiately filled with panic.
So ng Ke knew so quickly because of the money transfer she made to Qi Jianlin earlier.
But that was her bank account, how did ng Ke know?
As she was thinking of how to explain, ng Ke’s threatening words ca through, “Jiang Hui, I may not be able to deal with you, but what about your godfather and godmother? If you don’t honestly tell the results, then just wait and see.”
“Boss ng, I’m not withholding information from you, it’s just that Qi Jianlin really didn’t say anything.”
“Wu Jingfang wouldn’t lie to . She said the Qi family father and son know so things from back then, and that ans they definitely know. Jiang Hui, if you dare to play tricks with , I will destroy you any minute.”
For now, he was unable to do anything to Bai Xiaoxiao because Bai Xiaoxiao had soone protecting her.
But destroying a Jiang Hui was still easy.
Jiang Hui shivered violently when ng Ke said, “If you don’t believe , just wait and watch. Within three days, I assure you’ll regret it.”
She didn’t dare to deceive anymore.
She was just a girl with no support, unwilling to ruin herself for Bai Xiaoxiao.
The most important thing was, even if she didn’t tell ng Ke and tried to use the past incident to threaten Mo Xiuchen, she wouldn’t get what she wanted.
Mo Xiuchen would never betray Wen Ran for her.
