“Is Mo Xiuchen on a business trip?”
“Ziyi even told you that.” Wen Ran turned and glanced at her son’s bedroom door.
Wen Jin’s voice remained calm and gentle, “Ziyi said on the phone that his dad cheated during the marriage, took a woman’s call, and left you alone at ho with a stomachache. He asked to co over and check on you.”
“How could that be?”
Wen Ran raised her voice in surprise.
“Your stomach has always been bad. Did Mo Xiuchen take you to the hospital?”
Judging by Wen Ran’s tone, it seed Mo Xiuchen didn’t cheat as Ziyi had exaggerated.

Ou Yihan asked Wen Jin, “Is Ranran okay?”

Ou Yihan smiled with relief, “Are you still going to Ranran’s house, or would you like to co in and sit for a while?”
“I won’t go in. Although Ranran said she’s taken dicine and is fine, since Mo Xiuchen isn’t at ho, I still better go and check on her.”

When Wen Jin arrived at the Mo family ho, Wen Ran was sitting alone on the living room sofa.
“Where did Mo Xiuchen go for his business trip?”
Wen Jin took a sip of the water Wen Ran poured for him before asking with concern.
Wen Ran held the cup in her hand, “He went abroad.”
“Ziyi said Mo Xiuchen got a call from a woman who was crying on the phone. Did that really happen?”
Wen Ran frowned, “Ziyi, how did he learn to lie like this?”
“That’s good then. I thought maybe that Jiang Hui was causing trouble again. She seems to always have intentions towards Mo Xiuchen, Ranran. You shouldn’t let Mo Xiuchen keep her in the company and give her important tasks.”
Wen Jin wasn’t worried about Mo Xiuchen but found Jiang Hui a bit problematic.

He even called his uncle saying his dad was cheating.

“Ranran had a stomachache. Ziyi said he’d call you, but you were working overti, so I ca to check on her.” Wen Jin answered gently.
Gu Kai frowned, “Ziyi didn’t call . Why did Ranran have a stomachache? Is she alright now?”
“She had taken dicine and was fine. Probably sothing she ate upset her stomach.”
Wen Jin also frowned slightly, “You an Ziyi didn’t call you?”
“Yeah, I had surgery in the evening. Though I didn’t bring my phone, there were no missed calls.”
Gu Kai pulled out his phone to show Wen Jin.
Wen Jin fell into thought, “Why would Ziyi lie to ?”
“Ziyi lied to you?”
Gu Kai chuckled.
A brilliant smile spread across his handso face as he looked at Wen Jin, “Tell , brother, how did Ziyi trick you?”
Wen Jin rolled his eyes at him and repeated what Ziyi had told him over the phone.
Gu Kai laughed hysterically, as if having heard the funniest joke.
“I’ll settle this with that kid tomorrow,” Wen Jin muttered.
Gu Kai finally managed to stop laughing, “Make sure to call when you give Ziyi a piece of your mind. I’m curious to know what Ziyi’s up to, tricking you into going to their house. Could he really think his dad cheated and wants you to clean up his dad’s ss?”
“Why should I call you?” Wen Jin felt displeased.
Gu Kai, on the other hand, was in a great mood, “This is too amusing not to include . But you’re too easy to fool, being tricked by Ziyi’s few words into going to their house. Did you actually believe Mo Xiuchen would cheat?”
“Of course, I didn’t believe it.”
Wen Jin said sullenly, “But Ziyi said on the phone that Ranran was ill, and Mo Xiuchen was away on a business trip. I was worried, so of course, I had to co and check.”
He added, “Besides, he said he had called you, but you were working overti.”
Gu Kai’s house was close to Mo Xiuchen’s. Wen Jin thought that if Ranran’s stomachache was severe, Ziyi should call Gu Kai to take Ranran to the hospital first.
