Chapter 25: 025 does not look like he is sick
Wen Ran was still in shock, her senses suddenly overwheld by a strong masculine scent. Her pupils dilated and the sliver of reason she finally managed to gather once again dissipated.
A sudden vibration sound caused by a phone ringtone played eerily from the small bedside table. Like an annoying destroyer, it shattered the romantic atmosphere in just an instant.
Frowning, MO Xiuchen let go of Wen Ran and walked over to the bed to pick up the phone, then strode into his dressing room.
Wen Ran felt her legs give way for a mont, but she steadied herself quickly. Her heart was pounding so violently it felt like it was about to burst out of her chest. The tingling sensation on her lips reminded her of what MO Xiuchen had just done.
She couldn’t understand wasn’t he supposed to have issues in that area? How could he…
And yet, just now he…
He didn’t seem unwell at all.
When MO Xiuchen ca out of the closet, he was already smartly dressed, his tall figure wrapped in a high-end shirt and trousers. He looked handso and elegant, his deanor refined.
Seeing Wen Ran still standing in a daze, he said lightly, “I have sothing to attend to, you should get so sleep first.”
“Oh!”
Wen Ran chanically responded, watching MO Xiuchen. Her lips moved as if she wanted to ask sothing, but didn’t dare to ask.
Seeing her hesitant deanor, MO Xiuchen’s profound eyes squinted and he asked, “Is there anything else?”
Her face turned red, and she hastily shook her head and waved her hands saying, “No, nothing, just go.”
“Hmm!”
MO Xiuchen’s gaze lingered on her flushed face for a mont, before he got up and strode away.
At eleven in the evening, night life in G city was just starting. In the ‘TI’ bar, a hedonistic scene unfolded. White-collar workers, bosses, or even the lowest-level workers were, at this ti, just a group of lone people seeking solace here.
As MO Xiuchen stepped into ‘TI’s front door, he spotted Gu Kai sitting in a corner through the dim multi-colored lights, a blonde woman was hitting on him.
Gu Kai ignored the blonde woman, who could only leave in disappointnt. MO Xiuchen approached the table and pulled out a chair to sit, joking around, “That woman just now wasn’t bad, why did you ignore her?”
Gu Kai glanced at him, leaned back in his chair, and stared straight at him,
“Was that Cheng Jia the little girl who saved you all those years ago?”
Upon hearing this, MO Xiuchen’s handso brows furrowed slightly. He picked up a glass of alcohol on the table and downed a gulp, then finally responded slowly, “I’m not sure yet. She said she couldn’t rember anything from her childhood.”
In the morning, MO Xiuchen had called Gu Kai while he was in the operating room and left a ssage telling him that he had found a girl with a mole on her chin, asking if he wanted to et her.
Gu Kai had been operating for more than ten hours, and he had imdiately sought MO Xiuchen out after finishing his work.
Hearing his words, Gu Kai furrowed his brows and shared his thoughts, “It’s normal that she can’t rember. You were eleven and rember everything, but that little girl was only five.”
“Isn’t five years old old enough to have mories?”
MO Xiuchen’s handso features held a thoughtful expression. Although Cheng Jia’s age and looks matched his mories of the little girl from his past, her inability to rember made him uncertain.
The most important thing was, he might have already developed feelings for Wen Ran, so his reaction toward Cheng Jia was the sa as with any other woman, he didn’t develop any particular feelings for her.
