Chapter 454: 453 Let Wen Ran deliver it to the door
Xiao Wenqing called Cheng Jia again, one week later.
Not only in G City, but the entire network, knew she was a wanted criminal now. She wasn’t daring enough to leave her house.
“Cheng Jia, have you found out where Wen Ran is?”
Xiao Wenqing sat on the sofa, a law program playing on the LCD screen.
“I’ve found out. Mo Xiuchen took her abroad to Paris the night before last. They have had no contact with the outside world. Wen Ran is completely unaware of everything that’s happening in G City.”
Cheng Jia’s voice, resonating across the Pacific Ocean, made Xiao Wenqing’s eyes chill. Mo Xiuchen had taken Wen Ran away just the previous night and fled overseas. No wonder they weren’t spotted anywhere these days.
“Do you know where she is in Paris?”
Xiao Wenqing suppressed the anger in her heart and asked coldly.
“Only they know their whereabouts,” Cheng Jia said, unable to hide a note of jealousy in her voice. Every ti she thought about Mo Xiuchen and Wen Ran together, being so engrossed in each other, she felt a strong urge to kill out of jealousy.
“Mrs Mo, if you want Wen Ran, there’s a simple way. Wen Ran will co on her own.”
There was a pause before Cheng Jia started suggesting the idea. She hoped more than anybody else for Wen Ran to disappear. If Wen Ran disappeared, she would have a chance with Mo Xiuchen.
“What’s the strategy?”
Xiao Wenqing was now completely confused as the police were searching for her worldwide. She didn’t dare to leave her house.
“Wen Ran has a close friend nad Bai Xiaoxiao. You should be aware of her, Mrs. Mo.”
Cheng Jia chuckled on the other end of the line before saying calmly.
“Bai Xiaoxiao? Of course I know. If it wasn’t for her last ti, maybe Wen Ran would have died already. You an I should kidnap Bai Xiaoxiao, make Wen Ran co to rescue her, and have her obediently deliver herself to ?”
Xiao Wenqing was not a fool. It was just that she had been blinded by hatred, and completely focused on Wen Ran, leading her to overlook this viable strategy. Because Bai Xiaoxiao had a car accident in the past, Wen Ran would certainly not ignore her plight.
“Alright, I’ll arrange it. While it’s impossible to get my hands on Wen Ran with Mo Xiuchen’s protection, Bai Xiaoxiao is a different story.”
“Hmm, then I wish Mrs. Mo all the best in achieving her goal soon.”
Cheng Jia’s voice beca lighter, and she chuckled.
Bali Island.
By the ti Mo Xiuchen got a call from Luo Haofeng, he and Wen Ran had already been living there for nearly twenty days.
During Wen Ran’s nstrual cycle, they didn’t go far. After her period, they went to other scenic spots for amusent. That night, they returned to the hotel, it was already past nine.
Wen Ran went to take a bath in the bathroom, and he switched on his mobile phone.
As soon as he turned it on, there were nurous missed call alerts. Before he could check who had called, his phone buzzed continuously.
Mo Xiuchen pressed the answer key with his long fingers, his eyes glanced towards the bathroom as his low voice floated from his thin lips: “Hello, Ah Feng.”
“Xiuchen, sothing’s happened.”
The mont he finished talking, Luo Haofeng’s anxious voice rang through. Mo Xiuchen’s eyes changed abruptly, his handso eyebrows knitted in a frown: “What happened?”
“Xiaoxiao has been kidnapped.”
“When did this happen?”
Mo Xiuchen’s tall figure stood up from the sofa, his gaze shifted towards the bathroom. The door of the bathroom was tightly closed, and the faint sound of running water could be heard from inside. He walked towards the floor-to-ceiling window, listening to Luo Haofeng on the other end of the line: “This afternoon, while she was on her way ho from the hospital, she was abducted. I got a call from Xiao Wenqing an hour ago. She told that if we want Xiaoxiao back safely, we would have to hand over Wen Ran.”
Towards the end, there was so hesitation in Luo Haofeng’s voice.
“Xiao Wenqing?”
A savage and brutal glare erupted in Mo Xiuchen’s eyes. It was the sa woman again. Even though she was now a fugitive, she could still make so many things happen.
“Exactly, it’s Xiao Wenqing. She warned us that if we call the police, we will never see Xiaoxiao again.”
“Ah Feng, give Lu Zhiyan a call. I’ll book the flight tickets right away. Wen Ran and I will return tomorrow. If Xiao Wenqing calls again, first confirm her location.”
Mo Xiuchen’s gaze was as dark as ink, and his voice deep and cold.
“Xiuchen, Bai Xiaoxiao’s parents are very worried, I’ll inform them first.”
There was a mont of silence over the phone, Luo Haofeng changed his words at the last mont.
“Good!”
Mo Xiuchen responded indifferently.
When Wen Ran ca out from the bathroom, she saw Mo Xiuchen leaning against the floor-to-ceiling window, his figure tall and erect. He was staring out with an absent-minded look.
Even when she was out, he didn’t notice.
“Xiuchen!”
Wen Ran smiled faintly and walked towards him.
Upon hearing her voice, Mo Xiuchen regained his senses and slowly turned around. His usually somber eyes were soft and affectionate when they fell on Wen Ran, “Ranran, have you finished bathing?”
“Yes!”
Wen Ran smiled at him.
“Co here, let help you.”
Mo Xiuchen gestured for her to co over. Wen Ran obediently walked over and stood in front of him obediently. He took the towel from her hand and began to pat her hair dry.
“Ranran, do you know how many days we’ve been out?”
Mo Xiuchen’s voice echoed in her ear. Wen Ran laughed and lifted her eyes to gaze into his deep ones, “Including the ti on the plane, it’s been twenty days.”
“Ranran, do you miss ho?”
Mo Xiuchen looked at her intently, his movents gentle.
Wen Ran was taken aback, staring at the handso face of Mo Xiuchen that was sporting a grim smile. Instead of answering, she asked, “Xiuchen, did sothing happen in G City, or sothing went wrong with the MS Group?”
She had ntioned going back a couple of days ago, but Mo Xiuchen had said they could play for a few more days.
So now, when he suddenly asked her if she missed ho, she had a feeling that sothing must have happened.
“Co on, let dry your hair first.”
Mo Xiuchen smiled slightly, avoiding Wen Ran’s question. He wrapped one arm around her shoulders, half-pushing, half-carrying her towards the dressing table.
“Xiuchen, are you keeping sothing from ?”
Wen Ran was pressed into a chair by Mo Xiuchen, her sleek eyebrows furrowing. She looked at Mo Xiuchen with doubtful eyes. She had always been keenly attuned to him, as long as he gave little away, she would sense it.
And now was no different.
“Ranran, I’ll tell you after I blow dry your hair, okay?”
Mo Xiuchen’s eyes flickered.
He was very aware of the importance of Bai Xiaoxiao to Wen Ran. This was sothing he couldn’t hide. Even if he kept her in the dark and managed to rescue Bai Xiaoxiao safely, she would eventually bla him.
That being the case, he couldn’t keep it from her. He could only delay telling her as long as possible, ensuring that she was worried for at least a minute less.
Seeing Mo Xiuchen’s slightly forced smile, Wen Ran unconsciously crossed her hands in front of her, pursed her lips, and said softly, “Okay, then be quick and blow dry my hair.”
“Hmm!”
A trace of heartache flickered in Mo Xiuchen’s eyes, and the voice that flowed from his lips was tender and deep.
