Chapter 566: 565 Never allow her to be bullied
Wen Ran smiled, seeming to feel the gaze behind her. She turned around and glanced towards the window on the left, her eyes eting with Mo Xiuchen’s.
Across the vast hall, her eyes interlocked with Mo Xiuchen for a mont. She diverted her gaze and asked Bai Xiaoxiao, “Xiaoxiao, do you want to go sit over there?”
As soon as she spoke, the expression of Xiao Yuting, who was sitting across from Bai Xiaoxiao, changed slightly.
“No, I’ve already finished eating. Ranran, you can go back to your seat and eat. I’m a little busy today, I’ll call you later.”
Wen Ran acquiesced, not insisting.

“Ranran, where has Xiuchen taken you in the past days?”
Gu Kai looked at Wen Ran with a smiling face and pourer her a glass of water, “Older Brother Gu, weren’t you volunteering for dical services? When did you return?”
Gu Kai’s eyes twinkled slightly before he responded with composure, “I ca back this morning. Ranran, you’re not still mad at , are you?”
He did go down to the countryside for the volunteering service. That day, he and Mo Xiuchen tricked Ranran into this in order to avoid her wanting to settle accounts later.
At the ntion of this, he seed to rember sothing, and he frowned. If he encountered that woman again, he would make her regret speaking to him like that.
“How could it be? Ranran never blad you.”
Mo Xiuchen spoke, a smile hanging on his lips.
That day, Wen Ran did indeed intend to confront him, but Gu Kai managed to give her the slip. Over the past three days, she had been having such a good ti that she couldn’t be bothered to dispute with him anymore.
She just smiled and said, “How could I bla you?”
Relieved, Gu Kai said, “As long as you are not angry with , Ranran. I brought a gift for you which I planned to give you at your house tonight. The gift is in my car, will give it to you later.”
The Qin Mu, who was sitting next to Mo Xiuchen, spoke quietly. “Xiuchen, you’ve been resting for three days. Don’t you plan to return to the company?”
The company had been in chaos in his absence during those three days.
Even when he used to go on business trips, it was not the sa as now. Even when he went to Bali Island with Wen Ran for twenty days, the company did not experience the sort of turbulence as it did now.
At that ti, he was still the president of the company, even when he wasn’t physically present. But now, he had resigned. Although Mo Zixuan hadn’t taken office yet and Mo Jingteng was holding down the fort, it seed that neither compared to Mo Xiuchen’s presence.
Moreover, with Mo Xiuchen’s sudden resignation and disappearance, many clients were uneasy, and even competing companies were stirring. Qin Mu was certain that if Mo Xiuchen did not return, the MS Group would be in trouble sooner or later.
Mo Jingteng’s health was deteriorating and he wasn’t in any condition to manage the group. On the other hand, Zixuan, although ambitious, lacked the capability. Both he and Ah Feng had already submitted their resignations. Even though Mo Jingteng had not agreed yet, it was inevitable that they would leave eventually.
He just wanted to confirm if Xiuchen was really giving up.
Mo Xiuchen was smiling at Gu Kai and Wen Ran, who were in conversation. Hearing Qin Mu’s words, the smile at his mouth slowly faded. He turned to look at him, eting his clear eyes, then shook his head. “I wasn’t joking around with him. Tomorrow, I am accompanying Ranran to go overseas.”
If they weren’t going to D Country tomorrow, he and Ranran wouldn’t have returned today.
Qin Mu was slightly taken aback, looking at Mo Xiuchen’s warm and handso face, he asked in a light tone, “How long will you be gone for?”
Luo Haofeng, sitting next to Qin Mu, heard his question. Subconsciously, he leaned over to him, eyes fixed on Mo Xiuchen.
Mo Xiuchen smiled faintly, answering at an unhurried pace, “It’s uncertain. Perhaps three to five days, or half a month, or even three to five months. It depends on the circumstances.”
He had plans in his heart. This trip to D Country, along with Gu Yan, was mainly to give Ranran another thorough check-up. If there was a treatnt plan, he wanted to stay there a little longer with Ranran and take her sightseeing around the place.
Luo Haofeng’s face showed a surprised expression. After hearing his words, he asked in disbelief, “Xiuchen, are you not considering returning to MS Group at all?”
If he was so determined, then what was he and Ah Mu staying here for?
After speaking, he looked at Qin Mu.
Qin Mu thought for a mont before responding softly, “In that case, I am also preparing to leave G City. Xiuchen, without you in the company, there is no need for Ah Feng and to stay. I can continue my journey as well.”
Anyway, Haochen didn’t need him right now and An Lin was taking good care of Haochen.
“My old man at ho has been nagging to return to the company several tis, Xiuchen, I am going to hand over my work in these few days and make a trip ho.”
Luo Haofeng pursed his lips, concealing his usually carefree deanor. His voice carried a faint touch of reluctant sorrow. Even if he returned to the family company, it didn’t an not eting Xiuchen, Qin Mu, and the others again.
However, they had been working together for so many years, and they were as close as brothers. It truly was hard to part with them now. Even if his family was urging him to co back to accept the company, he preferred to be a vice president in MS Group. The feeling of having good brothers to accompany him every day beyond working hours was sothing not achievable as the boss back in his family firm.
Listening to Luo Haofeng’s words, an emotion surfaced in Mo Xiuchen’s deep eyes. He slightly pressed his thin lips together and picked up his glass of wine on the table, addressing both of them, “Ah Feng, Ah Mu, this toast is for you.”
No lodramatic words of thanks, just a simple everyday phrase. Yet, it was filled with the profoundness of brotherhood. It seed as though the atmosphere had shifted a notch at that mont.
The conversation between Gu Kai and Wen Ran stopped and Gu Kai also reached out with his wine glass.
Qin Mu calmly glanced at Wen Ran who was quietly watching them, the corners of his mouth slightly lifting. In a soft voice, he said, “Xiuchen, I wish you and Wen Ran everlasting happiness!”
Mo Xiuchen responded with a smile, one arm moving around Wen Ran’s shoulders, laughing as he replied, “It definitely will be.” And he clinked glasses with him.
“I also wish you love till your hair turns gray.”
Luo Haofeng chid in, not wanting to be left behind. This lad, Xiuchen, for the sake of keeping Wen Ran, he could even resort to feigning death. It just goes to show how deep his love for Wen Ran is.
Mo Xiuchen didn’t say anything, just nodded with a smile.
Gu Kai blinked at this, then turned to look at Wen Ran, before speaking, “Since Ah Feng and Ah Mu have given their blessings, as Ranran’s older brother, I cannot lag behind. Xiuchen, I warn you, you’re never allowed to bully Ranran or make her cry.”
His tone was very stern. Mo Xiuchen’s smile didn’t fade, but he turned his head to look at the woman beside him.
