Chapter 568: 567 feels happy, so he laughs
“Alright!”
Wen Ran obediently responded, standing before him in her loose sleepwear, letting him take the towel and gently wipe her hair for her.
“Go over there, I’ll blow-dry your hair for you.”
After he was done wiping, Mo Xiuchen led Wen Ran by the hand to the vanity, encouraging her to sit on the chair in front of it. He hung the towel up, grabbed the hairdryer, and began to dry her hair.
The warmth of the room, for a mont, made them both go silent, with only the sound of the hairdryer filling the air, bringing with it waves of heat.
Wen Ran sat in the chair, her eyes attentively watching the extraordinarily handso man in the mirror. As she watched him, a smile of happiness unconsciously blood on her lips.
“Ranran, why are you smiling?”
A hint of deep mystery flashed in Mo Xiuchen’s eyes, the sound of his voice holding a barely noticeable rasp.
Wen Ran looked up at his deep, burning eyes, her blinking slightly, the smile on her lips becoming even more splendid: “Nothing much, I just feel happy, so I smiled.”
Being with the man she loved made her genuinely happy.
Watching him attentively and gently blow-drying her hair, seeing his long fingers threading through her hair strands, she couldn’t help but have soft feelings stir within her. She really, truly wished to grow old together with this man.
As she thought of this, a tinge of bitterness flashed across her smile. Mo Xiuchen, holding the hairdryer, watched her intently, narrowly catching her fleeting mont of sorrow. His heart tightened, and without thinking, he bent over and pulled her into his arms, murmuring like a promise:
“Ranran, as long as you like it, from now on, after you wash your hair, I’ll blow-dry it for you.”
“Xiuchen!”
Wen Ran’s voice emanated from his chest, gentle and soft, like a light breeze blowing into his heart.
He looked down at her, his eyes staring at her softly and deeply: “Hmm!”
She closed her lips tightly, her eyes filling with gentle affection, her arms tightly wrapped around him, “I love you!”
“Ranran, you should go to bed first.”
Wen Ran nodded her head, turning around and walking to the bed, climbing up onto it, and leaning against the headboard.
Mo Xiuchen stood in front of the vanity for a few seconds before following her, pulling the blanket over her, his eyes filled with affectionate indulgence: “You go to sleep first, I’m going to take a bath.”
“I’ll call Xiaoxiao and let her know I’m going out of the country tomorrow.”
Wen Ran explained softly, suddenly frowning. Noticing this, Mo Xiuchen asked with concern: “What’s the matter?”
“I left my phone in the bathroom.”
Earlier, when she went to the bathroom to take a shower, she forgot to put down her phone first. Afterward, she also forgot to retrieve it.
Mo Xiuchen smiled faintly, casually saying: “I thought it was sothing serious, wait for , I’ll get it for you.”
Turning around, heading towards the bathroom, the smile gradually faded from his lips, his mouth slightly pursed.
Leaning against the headboard, Wen Ran gently massaged her temples. She was certain that her mory was deteriorating, recently these incidents of forgetfulness beca more obvious.

“Thank you!”
Wen Ran thanked him cheerfully, not wanting him to overthink this minor matter. Mo Xiuchen quickly returned a smile, and with a raised eyebrow, he stretched his hand towards her head, rubbing it lightly before heading back to the bathroom.
In reality, both knew and shared the sa thought, not wanting to upset the other, they acted as if nothing was wrong.
In the few days since Wen Ran returned, this wasn’t the first ti she had done sothing like forgetting to take her phone. There were also instances when she forgot other things, she just didn’t tell him about them. And he, every ti he noticed her lost in thought or suddenly frowning, beca especially sensitive.
The reason she told him this ti was because she had already climbed into bed and couldn’t redy the situation herself.
In the softly lit master bedroom, Wen Ran leaned against the headboard, staring blankly at her phone for a while before dialing Bai Xiaoxiao’s number.
The phone rang twice before being picked up, Bai Xiaoxiao’s voice ca through the phone’s speaker: “Hello, Ranran.”
“Xiaoxiao, how co you were with Xiao Yuting tonight? Are you and he…?” Wen Ran got straight to the point but halted her words midway.
Bai Xiaoxiao understood what she ant and grumbled through the phone: “Ranran, are you saying I’m crawling back to my old fla? You two have been living in a world of your own these past few days, it’s normal that you’re not aware of anything else. Xiao Yuting’s mother fell ill, I went to the hospital to visit her today. Then, he invited to dinner, that’s all it was.”
Wen Ran was slightly taken aback, but quickly laughed it off, “That’s a relief, I thought you couldn’t bear it and went back to Xiao Yuting.”
“How could I?”
Bai Xiaoxiao snorted and then counter-asked, “How is it going between you and Mo Xiuchen? I heard he even resigned as CEO for you.”
She ant to ask whether Wen Ran had really decided to stay with Mo Xiuchen or planned to leave him.
“Xiuchen is accompanying to D Country tomorrow…”
Wen Ran briefly explained her situation. After she finished, Bai Xiaoxiao confidently said, “Ranran, Uncle Gu certainly has a way, I believe by the ti you return from D Country, you’ll be in perfect health.”
“Yes, I hope so.”
