After a nearly twenty-hour flight, Gu Yan, Mo Xiuchen, and Wen Ran finally arrived in M City, D Country. As soon as they cleared security, the person who ca to pick them up was already waiting there.
He was a middle-aged man.
After politely greeting Gu Yan and introducing himself to Mo Xiuchen and Wen Ran, they all left the airport together.
Mo Xiuchen tightly held Wen Ran’s hand all the way, opening the car door for her and watching her sit in before getting in himself.
After dropping them off at the hotel, Gu Yan told Mo Xiuchen and Wen Ran, “Xiuchen, you and Ranran should rest in the hotel first, and we’ll go to the hospital tomorrow.”
Startled slightly, Wen Ran asked softly, “Dad, aren’t you coming back to the hotel?”
Gu Yan gave a gentle smile, “I have so things to take care of. I’ll be back at the hotel later. You must be tired after a more than ten-hour flight, so have a good rest.”
Mo Xiuchen accompanied Wen Ran back to the hotel, prepared the bath for her after settling their luggage, and told her to have a good night’s sleep after a bath.

Lost in thought, she didn’t even notice when Mo Xiuchen ca out of the bathroom. It wasn’t until his deep, magnetic voice sounded overhead that she ca back to reality.
“Ranran, what are you thinking?”
Mo Xiuchen’s short hair, freshly toweled dry, was still damp, with a stray lock clinging to his forehead. His sexy mouth curved in a light arc, his whole being radiating an unspeakable sexy, tantalizing charm.
Woken from her reverie with still so lingering confusion in her clear eyes, Wen Ran stared directly into his soft, deep eyes. Her heart skipped a beat inexplicably.
The air around her was replaced by his fresh and pleasant male scent. He naturally climbed into bed and pulled her into his arms with a single extension of his long arm.
Wen Ran’s body tensed ever so slightly.
“Ranran, aren’t you tired after such a long flight?”
His charming smile was enchanting, his deep eyes seemingly pulling her in. She didn’t know if it was just her imagination but she felt a dangerous heat flickering in his eyes.
“Ranran!”
“Xiuchen, don’t…”
Wen Ran panicked slightly, her voice trembling.
“Ranran, I won’t bully you. You go to sleep; I’ll go take a shower.”
He didn’t force her. She should be glad, but why did she feel a pang of heartache instead?
He took a cold shower now, and it made her both concerned and sad.
When Mo Xiuchen ca out of the bathroom again, Wen Ran was lying on her side with her back to him. He stood in front of the bed, not getting in imdiately, but quietly watching her.
He was only in the bathroom for a few minutes. There was no way she could have fallen asleep in such a short ti, but she didn’t say anything when he ca out. It seems she didn’t want to talk anymore.
His lips tightened slightly. He got into bed gently and lightly held her from behind.

Because Mo Jingteng fainted in the office in the morning, the afternoon eting was cancelled.
