Seeing the spectrum of emotions displayed on his face in just a mont, Bai Xiaoxiao was taken aback. Seeing him staring at his phone screen without answering, she didn’t dare to say anything and just watched him intently.
The phone rang several tis before Gu Kai pressed the answer button and exclaid with a sowhat heavy voice, “Hello!”
The coldness in his voice made Bai Xiaoxiao’s heart tighten. She didn’t know why, but from his expression and tone, she got the sense that the person making the call was not friendly.
“Gu–Kai!”
The voice on the other end of the phone lingered and sent chills down the spine, as if it was coming straight out of hell.

Even though he had never heard his voice or seen him, Gu Kai was very certain that the person on the other side had to be Fu Jingyi.
Only that psychopath would speak with such a sinister tone and a thick trace of mockery.
He knew he would call again. Since he called Ranran last ti, he knew the next call would be to him or Mo Xiuchen.
As expected, he did call!
Every hair on his body stood up and the knuckles of his hand gripping the phone turned white.
In front of the office desk, when Bai Xiaoxiao heard him say ‘Fu Jingyi’, her eyes widened in shock and she stared at him in disbelief.
Fu Jingyi made the call? Upon absorbing this news, the shock in her eyes swiftly turned into anger, her feelings clearly visible on her delicate face.

What answered Gu Kai was a string of frenzied laughter, mocking their helplessness, “Gu Kai, aren’t you a dical genius? How about it, have you found a way to save your sister?”
“Fu Jingyi, where are you now? I need to see you.”
