Chapter 661: Is 660 very serious?
At dinner, Mo Xiuchen asked Wen Ran if she wanted to take a stroll at the night market later.
Wen Ran shook her head, they had already walked around the vegetable market in the afternoon. Though the apartnt Mo Xiuchen lived in was not too far from the vegetable market, she was a little tired after walking to and fro.
After dinner, Wen Ran took upon herself the task of doing the dishes and let him rest in the living room.

Her eyes twinkling with a smile, Wen Ran gazed at him, “That’s good. I worry about you when you’re alone.”
A touch of struggle flashed in Mo Xiuchen’s heart. Seeing the worry and affection in her eyes, he almost suggested that she should co along.
But in the end, he held it back.
“Ranran, let’s sleep.”
Wen Ran blinked, and obediently responded, “Okay, good night.”
She laid down naturally, wrapping her arms around his waist, burying her face in his chest. Deep adoration surfaced in Mo Xiuchen’s eyes. After gazing at her for a while, he also laid down.
That night, no one spoke. Yet, from dusk till dawn, none of them actually fell asleep.
The next day, after breakfast, Wen Ran left early, claiming she needed to handle so work at the hospital. Mo Xiuchen wanted to drop her off, but she refused.
In the end, they agreed that soone chosen by Mo Xiuchen could escort her to the hospital.
By the ti she arrived at the hospital, Manager Zhang and the hospital director, who ca with her, were already waiting in the lobby. With everything dealt with, Wen Ran engaged in small talk with the director. Using the excuse of going to the restroom, she called Gu Kai.
“Bro, are you going to D Country with Xiuchen?”
Wen Ran’s straightforward question made Gu Kai pause, unsure why she would ask this. He decided to play dumb, “Ranran, what are you talking about?”
Wen Ran pursed her lips and calmly said, “Yesterday, I saw your stuff at Xiuchen’s apartnt. Bro, you’ve been in City C these two days, right? Xiuchen is going to D Country today. He didn’t call Luo Haofeng or Qin Mu because they couldn’t help.”
“And you, you must be going along.”
“Ranran!”
Gu Kai called her na in shock.
His voice was filled with surprise and heartache, as well as a range of complex emotions.

How could I not know that he sacrificed himself to save ? Just that he didn’t want to know, so I pretended not to.”
“When did you find out?”
“At first, I just had suspicion. The afternoon I had a check up in D Country, Xiuchen accompanied to a movie. In the middle, he went out to answer a call and took a long ti to co back. I got worried and went out to find him. He was smiling and said my illness was cured, but I saw a trace of hidden sadness in his smile.”
“Xiuchen is not the type of man to be indecisive, but he was conflicted about whether we should take wedding photos or hold a wedding ceremony. Later, he had nosebleeds. Yesterday noon, he was cooking, suddenly stopped and asked to pour water for him. When I ca back to the kitchen with the water, his face turned a little pale…”

When Wen Ran said this, her voice was a bit rigid. She looked up at the ceiling, her eyes moist. She tightened her grip on the mobile phone from ti to ti.

“No, I won’t.”
Wen Ran retorted firmly. Perhaps her determination was a bit self-deceiving, but she just refused to believe that he would leave her.

She only sent him a ssage every night, telling him about her day.
Mo Xiuchen would reply as soon as he got the ssage. He would tell her about his progress, as though he was genuinely on a business trip and not there to receive treatnt.
Wen Ran enjoyed reading his ssages repeatedly, not missing a single punctuation.
