Chapter 665: 664 Hear his voice
“You have a fever, did you feel unwell before we boarded the plane, why didn’t you say so?” Wen Ran was filled with anxiety.
Qin Mu gave a reassuring smile, whispering, “Don’t worry, I’m okay.”
As he spoke, he raised his left hand to touch his forehead, which was very hot. No wonder, he felt a headache, and a bit dizzy.

“I won’t get off the car.”

Twenty minutes later, the taxi stopped at the hospital entrance. Wen Ran got out of the car. Qin Mu opened his mouth but did not say anything in the end.
She had stayed at this hospital for more than ten days in the past, so she was familiar with it. Fearful of being recognized, she intentionally wore a mask. Familiar with the routes, she took Qin Mu by the hand to the outpatient clinic.
During the doctor’s treatnt of Qin Mu’s wound, Wen Ran sat by his side, sowhat distracted. Qin Mu glanced at her from ti to ti. He knew she was thinking about Mo Xiuchen.
Leaving the outpatient clinic, Qin Mu hesitated and then said to Wen Ran, “I’m going upstairs to see Mo Xiuchen now. Keep the phone line open with and you’ll be able to hear Mo Xiuchen’s voice.”
Wen Ran’s eyes lit up, but thinking of sothing, she imdiately regained her calm, “Not now. Go back to the hotel and rest. We’ll do this tomorrow.”

She pressed the answer button and greeted softly. Qin Mu’s voice ca from the phone, “The elevator has co. Don’t hang up the phone.”
“Okay.”
As Wen Ran entered the restaurant across the street, the voices of Mo Xiuchen and Qin Mu ca to her ears through the phone, “Ah Mu!”
Her footsteps faltered, and her heart pounded at the familiar, deep voice. The next second, her brows furrowed tightly.
The voices of Mo Xiuchen and Qin Mu conversing were not as warm or spirited as when he had spoken to her over the phone the night before. Now, his voice carried signs of exhaustion and the weakness from being tornted by illness.
Once she realized this, her heart tightened abruptly, as if an invisible hand was squeezing it painfully, bringing tears to her eyes.
She found a seat by the window, looking at the hospital building across the street through the transparent glass. The conversation between Qin Mu and Mo Xiuchen ca into her ear, “Xiuchen, it’s only been a few days, how have you lost so much weight?”
He didn’t intend to make Wen Ran worry, but he could not help but ask such a question. In just a week, Mo Xiuchen had really lost a considerable amount of weight, making his originally distinguished facial features even more pronounced.
The tornt of illness had deprived him of his usual charm and elegance. All that remained was exhaustion and a faint trace of sickness.
Seeing Mo Xiuchen like this, let alone Wen Ran, even Qin Mu, a grown man, felt a little sore in his eyes.
Mo Xiuchen was half leaning on the bed, a shallow curve on the edges of his mouth. His voice was even softer, “This is just the beginning, I can still endure it.”

A glint flashed in Mo Xiuchen’s eyes and he said gratefully, “Thank you for your hard work, Ah Mu.”
