In the intensive care unit of the military hospital, Mother Qin sat by the bedside, watching her son deep in sleep. Tears uncontrollably welled up in her eyes.

Mother Qin looked at him with a complex expression, sowhat puzzled by her son’s reaction to Wen Ran. She rembered the night a month ago, when she received the news that her son had jumped off a cliff following Wen Ran. She was shocked beyond words.
Seeing her silence, Qin Mu beca more anxious. He struggled to get up: “I need to find Ranran.”
“Ah Mu, you stay in bed, you’re not allowed to go anywhere.”
Father Qin, who was standing behind Mother Qin, suddenly spoke, his voice stern.
Mother Qin was frightened by his stern tone but quickly composed herself and held Qin Mu back on the bed soothingly, “Ah Mu, you just woke up. You can’t get agitated. Old man, go call the doctor to examine our son.”
“Mom, I need to find Ranran.”
If Mother Qin did not understand now, she would have lived in vain for so many years. She sighed softly and said gently, “Ranran is fine. She’s in the ward downstairs. Ah Mu, you have to lie down and not move.”

In the ward, only Mother Qin was left. Looking at the scab on Qin Mu’s forehead and thinking about his injuries, she felt a pang in her heart, and her eyes quickly welled up with tears.
Seeing his mother about to cry again caused Qin Mu to have a headache again. He softly said, “Mom, you go back and rest first. I won’t die.”
“Dare you to say ‘die’ again,” Mother Qin’s face changed. She glared at Qin Mu angrily. After glaring for a couple of seconds, tears suddenly fell from her eyes. She wiped her tears while chiding, “You ungrateful brat, have you ever considered what I would do if sothing happened to you?”
“Mom, I’m sorry!”
Qin Mu’s face changed slightly. At that ti, he didn’t have the ti to think about anything else. Wen Ran jumped off the cliff right in front of him, and he instinctively followed suit.
“Who wants to hear your apology? Promise that you will never do sothing so dangerous again. If you dare to do sothing like that again, I will disown you.”
