Gu Family
The couch in the living room on the first floor was filled with people.
On the coffee table, there were several platters of fruits, all exceptionally fresh. Their sweet scent wafting in the air, filling the room with pleasant aromas.
Wen Ran and Li Qian shared a couch.
Gu Kai, Wen Jin, and Chen Bin each took up seats on the remaining two sofas.
Upon departing from the airport, not only Luo Haofeng and Bai Xiaoxiao parted ways with the group, Jiang Liu and Shen Yuting departed separately too.
Luo Haofeng and Bai Xiaoxiao left for their individual dates.
Jiang Liu and Shen Yuting did not leave because they had plans for a date.

Hoping she would consent to his proposition.

Both the Gu and Wen families were her families.
Gu Kai and Wen Jin were both her brothers, none more important than the other, and each having equal significance.
Now, aside from the Gu and Wen households, she had no other place to go.
Seeing Wen Ran’s agreent brought instant joy to Wen Jin’s face, making him beam like a child. “Alright then, Ranran, it’s settled. On the fifth of next month, I’ll co and take you ho. There are many matters at the pharmaceutical factory that need my attention, so I won’t stay for lunch. Ranran, I’m leaving now. If you feel bored, just spend ti with Sister Qian, she has plenty of free ti these days.”
Not long after Wen Jin left, Gu Kai received a call for an ergency at the hospital.
He rushed to the hospital without even having ti for lunch.
Seeing him leave, Chen Bin found it aningless to stay alone at the Gu’s ho, and made an excuse to leave for so business.
In the end, only Li Qian and Wen Ran were left at the dining table for lunch.
After lunch, Wen Ran let Li Qian take a nap in her room.

Inside a presidential suite of a hotel in the early hours, Cheng Jia sat on a high-quality Persian carpet, sobbing.
On the bed, Mo Xiuchen was looking at her with indifference before getting off the bed, striding into the bathroom.
He had moved out of the hospital ten days ago and checked into a presidential suite in a hotel not far from the hospital.

She had tried once already a few days back.

She thought, as long as Mo Xiuchen was in D Country, she could gradually win him over and make him accept her.
But this morning, he suddenly asked her to book a flight back ho.
This made Cheng Jia panic.
In the middle of the night when he was fast asleep, she tried to secretly crawl into his bed.
She didn’t expect Mo Xiuchen to have such a vigilant sleep.
She wasn’t fully in bed, with only one foot on the edge, when he suddenly woke up.
It was Cheng Jia who brought it upon herself.
Seeing Mo Xiuchen wake up, she panicked and lunged at him.
She tried to entice him with her body, but instead, Mo Xiuchen rcilessly pushed her off the bed.
In the bathroom, Mo Xiuchen washed his hands and looked at his reflection in the mirror, frowning in irritation.
Outside, the sorrow and grievance in Cheng Jia’s voice were hard to miss but hearing it, he felt no sense of pity or heartache. Instead, he felt revolted.
He doubted, once again, did he really like Cheng Jia in the past?
Though Cheng Jia could be considered beautiful.
She had nothing attractive about her, not even enough to catch his eye.
Even with his mory loss, he should feel joy instead of disgust while being with her.
He stared at his lonely eyes in the mirror.
The handso face was tightly knitted in consternation, his thin, resolute lips pursed in indifference. He exuded an aura of loneliness.
Loneliness was his deepest feeling now.
Initially, when he had woken up, the person he saw was not his father.
It was not Cheng Jia either, but a man nad Gu Kai.
He was of a similar age, handso, warm, and elegant. Though he didn’t rember knowing him, Mo Xiuchen did not dislike him.
The next day, a man claiming to be his father ca to fetch him with Cheng Jia.
They arranged his transfer to a different hospital, followed by discharge and readmittance. All this dazed Mo Xiuchen, a patient with no mory.
In the past ten days, as his health improved, he began to deal with the affairs of the corporation.
Cheng Jia not only took care of his daily needs but also acted as his secretary. She explained most of the corporation’s matters to him.
Mo Xiuchen erged from the bathroom, Cheng Jia was still sobbing.
He walked towards her, his tall figure standing before her, looking down from above.
He towered over her like a king, commanding in a calm voice, “Stop crying.”
Cheng Jia was taken aback.
Slowly raising her tearful eyes, she t his deep gaze that seed to have no end.
The grievance on her face intensified as she called out in a choked voice, “Xiuchen.”
Mo Xiuchen sighed.
Speaking in a slightly softer tone, “I’ve told you before, I don’t rember the past. Not until I regain my mory will I treat you the way I used to. If you can accept this, stay. If you can’t, then leave.”
“No, Xiuchen, I won’t leave you.”
Cheng Jia suddenly clung to Mo Xiuchen’s leg in excitent.
Mo Xiuchen’s eyebrows furrowed slightly, “If you don’t want to leave, then stop doing these pointless things. Go back to sleep, there’s still work to be done tomorrow.”
Until he regains his mory, Mo Xiuchen can’t promise his past was as described by Cheng Jia and his father.
