Chapter 756: 755 is too cheap for him
Surprise flickered in Wen Jin’s eyes as she turned to look at Gu Kai.
He also wore a baffled expression, clearly not expecting Mo Zixuan to change so much.
They could all feel Mo Zixuan’s regret and despair.
He truly didn’t wish to re-enter society.
Perhaps Wen Jin’s punches woke him up, or perhaps Wen Ran’s suicidal leap freed him from his inner demons.

“If you don’t want to co out, why did you let Zhou Lin beg for your freedom, even taking these photos to Ah Jin?”
Luo Haofeng asked coldly.
Not a flicker of emotion crossed Mo Zixuan’s face, “I did not ask her to beg for your forgiveness. I just wanted to see Ranran one last ti, to say sorry to her face.”
“Say sorry in person, how laughable. Mo Zixuan, do you think a simple ‘sorry’ is enough for taking soone’s life?”
“You always claid you love Wen Ran but what have you ever done for her? From beginning to end, you were rely jealous of the joy and happiness she found with Mo Xiuchen. You harassed her, even went so far as trying to kill the man she loves most.”
Luo Haofeng’s words were as sharp as a knife, “You thought, if Ye kill Mo Xiuchen, that Wen Ran may possibly end up with you? That’s just a pipe dream.”
That was exactly what Mo Zixuan thought at the ti. He even imagined that he would be happy with her near him, even if Wen Ran did not love him any longer.
A pale, regretful look ca over Mo Zixuan, “I believe that no amount of atonent can ever undo the harm I’ve done to Ranran. Therefore, all I could do was let Zhou Lin give you these photos. Cheng Jia had been with many other n before, you can expose her to the dia and let Mo Xiuchen see her for what she truly is.”

After leaving the police station, Gu Kai, Wen Jin, Luo Haofeng, and Lu Zhiyan went straight to a restaurant for dinner.
“Ah Kai, about Mo Zixuan, do you think we ought to give him a break?”, Wen Jin asked Gu Kai over dinner. Seeing Mo Zixuan past despair had left her feeling sowhat stifled.
Mo Zixuan didn’t seem to be lying; he genuinely appeared remorseful.
“Do you pity him?”
Gu Kai smiled, “Rember, it was only because Zhixing held you back that he did not end up dead from your blows.”
Luo Haofeng also chuckled, teasing, “Ah Jin, you were not moved by Mo Zixuan, were you? It’s just a few photos.”
“It’s not that I pity him or was moved by him,”
Wen Jin’s eyes surveyed them, her voice calm and clear, “I just feel that a couple of years in prison would be letting him off too lightly. He thinks he can atone just by doing a few years. I’d rather he get out and owe Ranran for the rest of his life, a debt he can never pay off.”
“Unable to repay for the rest of his life? You sure are relentless.”
Lu Zhiyan spoke with a hint of surprise, “Aren’t you afraid that once he’s out, he might revert to his old ways and cause more harm to Wen Ran?”
“No, he has learned his lesson well this ti. He won’t revert to his old ways anymore. Although Zhou Lin has also hurt Wen Ran in the past, her daughter is innocent. If Mo Zixuan can see Zhou Lin’s good intentions and they can have a good life together, then it is a good thing.”
“Let’s ask Ranran’s opinion later.”
Gu Kai hesitated, then proposed his idea.
“Why don’t you call Ranran now and ask her? Given Ranran’s kindness, even though she doesn’t say it, she likely pities Zhou Lin and her daughter.”

“Qing Feng, keep an eye on Cheng Jia for the next few days. Also, look out for Xiaoxiao. She took Cheng Jia down a notch at the airport earlier today, and now I am worried Cheng Jia might retaliate.”
There was a clear touch of concern in Wen Ran’s soft voice. On the other end of the line, Qing Feng imdiately replied, “Miss Wen, I understand. Qing Yang and I will return to G City soon. Liu can take care of the fruit trees and seedlings here. We won’t let Cheng Jia harm Miss Bai.”
In reality, what Qing Feng wanted to say was that Bai Xiaoxiao did a great job taking down Cheng Jia.
If he and Qing Yang encountered Cheng Jia, they would also want to teach her a harsh lesson.
Even though he had never hit a woman before, a shaless woman like Cheng Jia really deserved to be taught a lesson.
“That’s good. The fruit trees and seedlings didn’t die, right?”
Wen Ran asked with concern. Ever since Qing Feng and Qing Yang planted those trees, they were guarding them in the country, watering the saplings and flowers every day and observing their growth.
“No, they have survived. Miss Wen, I will pick so fruits and send them to you later.”
Wen Ran regarded him warmly, smiling, “That won’t be necessary. I can just buy so if I want to eat.”
“The fruits you buy in the supermarket are not as tasty as the ones picked here. I’ll pick so and send them to you.”
“Alright then, thank you.”
A bright smile lit up Wen Ran’s face as Qin Mu pushed open her office door. What he saw was her dazzling smile and bright eyes that shone like stars.
Qin Mu paused for a mont, feeling a slight stir in the depths of his heart.
He halted in the doorway, his long, slender figure standing straight and tall, a fleeting hint of joy in his long, narrow eyes.
It was the kind of emotional stirring that cos from seeing the person you love happy.
Noticing Qin Mu standing in the doorway, Wen Ran blinked.
Seeing him not entering, she finished her call with Qing Feng.
She then rose from her seat, picked up the cup on the table, and walked toward him, “Qin Mu, what are you doing standing at the door, acting like a door god?”
Qin Mu’s eyes narrowed slightly, he gracefully entered the office with a smile, “Ranran, what’s the happy occasion? You seem very cheerful.”
Wen Ran chuckled.
After retrieving water and returning to her desk, Qin Mu elegantly settled into the chair in front of her and looked at her with a gentle smile on his face.
“Does happiness need a reason?”
Wen Ran sipped so water, then said, “Xiaoxiao, she found out that Cheng Jia returned today and went to the airport to slap her twice. I’m worried Jia may hold a grudge and retaliate, so I asked Qing Feng and Qing Yang to watch out.”
A hint of surprise flashed in Qin Mu’s eyes, he asked with a smile, “Bai Xiaoxiao moved so fast to block Cheng Jia at the airport?”
“Yes, that’s just how she is.”
A soft warmth radiated from Wen Ran’s eyes. Her heart ward at the things Xiaoxiao had done for her.
The smile on Qin Mu’s face widened slightly as he said gently, “It’s because of your kindness to Bai Xiaoxiao that she treated you so well. Even though Cheng Jia may hold a grudge, she may not openly retaliate against Xiaoxiao. What we need to beware of is her secretly scheming against Xiaoxiao.”
