At ten in the morning, just as Wen Jin had finished a eting and was preparing to visit the workshop, Lu Zhiyan’s call ca through.
“Ah Jin, Mo Jingteng has co to see Mo Zixuan.”
Wen Jin had just reached the stairwell when he heard this and halted in his tracks.
Turning around and walking two steps toward the window, he stood there and calmly said, “He must have heard the news that Ah Kai and I went to see Mo Zixuan and couldn’t sit still.”

As Wen Jin descended the stairs, he replied carelessly, “I don’t know, they won’t be made public in the near future, at most they’ll privately approach one of the two main characters, as for the part about Cheng Jia, we’ll have to wait for Mo Xiuchen to return, only then will it be effective.”

On hearing this, Wen Jin, Gu Kai and others just gave a faint smile. Zhou Lin also did not go to see Mo Zixuan again but instead bought a ticket to return to D Country.
Before leaving, Zhou Lin made a trip to City C.
That afternoon, Wen Ran received a phone call from Zhou Lin, who said she was in a café across from their company and wanted to et with her.
Upon arriving at the café, Wen Ran indeed saw Zhou Lin sitting there. When she saw Wen Ran approach, Zhou Lin stood up, smiled, and greeted her, “Ran Ran, sit.”
Wen Ran nodded and sat down across from her, ordering a glass of plain hot water. She then asked lightly, “Are you alone? Where is your daughter?”
“I found a nanny to take care of her for a few days. Ranran, I ca here to thank you.”
Zhou Lin looked at Wen Ran with sincere eyes, her words imbued with heartfelt gratitude.
Wen Ran cracked a faint, barely noticeable smile.
The waiter brought over water, which she held in her hands, speaking steadily, “You needn’t thank . If you wish to thank soone, go thank my two brothers. It was their decision.”
“Ranran, I know that if you hadn’t agreed, Ah Jin and Gu Kai would not have let Zixuan off. I also know that saying thank you or sorry to you now is aningless. Yet, I still wanted to co and thank you. I, Zhou Lin, owe you too much in this lifeti. If there ever cos a day when you need , whatever you ask to do, I’ll do it.”
Zhou Lin’s words didn’t seem like lies, and there was no need for her to be hypocritical in front of Wen Ran at this ti.
Listening to her words, Wen Ran felt a complex array of emotions sweep through her.
Seeing Zhou Lin’s massively different appearance and attire compared to the past, she realized that Zhou Lin had truly changed after becoming a mother.
