Chapter 815: 814 Did I ever deceive Ranran?
Wen Ran felt that Mo Xiuchen’s smile was impenetrably mysterious.
Her eyes flickered for a mont, and a certain speculation flashed through her mind, which she quickly suppressed. He couldn’t possibly have realized she was feigning sleep, right?
Mo Xiuchen descended the stairs and in a few steps arrived in front of her, looking at her tenderly. “Ranran, liking sleep isn’t a bad thing. You can eat breakfast and then continue sleeping.”
Wen Ran humphed twice. “You talk as if I’m a pig. I’m not going to sleep anymore. I’m off to eat breakfast.”
With that, she strode toward the kitchen. Mo Xiuchen’s gaze followed her into the kitchen, and Wen Jin said indifferently, “If you don’t have to go to the company today, you could take Ranran out for a walk.”
Upon hearing Wen Jin’s words, Mo Xiuchen drew back his gaze, frowning slightly, “I actually do need to go back to the company in a little while.” His voice paused, and then he glanced again in the direction of the kitchen, listening to the sounds of Wen Ran and Auntie Li from the kitchen. He lowered his voice a bit. “If I cling to Ranran all day, she’ll definitely find annoying.”

A sharp light flashed in Wen Jin’s eyes and then he smiled, agreeing with Mo Xiuchen’s statent. “She definitely will.”
He understood his sister; if the knot in her heart wasn’t untied, no amount of persuasion from the people around them would be useful unless one day she ca to terms with it, or Mo Xiuchen rembered the past and moved Ranran with his deep affection.
Until then, her feelings toward Mo Xiuchen were probably a mix of wanting to be close yet not daring to be too intimate.
Wen Ran helped to serve breakfast, and Wen Jin and Mo Xiuchen sat at the dining table chatting. In Wen Jin’s opinion, the amnesiac Mo Xiuchen seed easier to get along with than before.
And the attitude towards him was certainly better than the previous Mo Xiuchen’s.
With Wen Jin present, Wen Ran didn’t have to face Mo Xiuchen alone. The atmosphere at the dining table was pleasant. After breakfast, both Mo Xiuchen and Wen Jin went off to the company, while Wen Ran went to water the flowers in her garden.
When her phone rang, Wen Ran had just finished watering. She set down her watering can and settled into a wicker chair in the yard, cheerfully answering the call. “Hello, Xiaoxiao!”
“Ranran, you got up pretty early today, huh. Didn’t Mo Xiuchen stay over last night?”
Over the phone, Bai Xiaoxiao’s suggestive voice ca through. Wen Ran laughed and playfully scolded, “Bai Xiaoxiao, can you be any more dirty?”

“How did you know I went to a banquet?”

Bai Xiaoxiao laughed loudly on the phone.
Wen Ran’s mind raced, and after a few guesses flashed through her head, her expression changed slightly, and when she spoke again, her voice was calm but tinged with suppressed emotion. “Did Luo Haofeng tell you?”
“Ranran, Luo Haofeng wasn’t there, your encounter was with Qi iling,” Bai Xiaoxiao corrected over the phone, but however you heard it, the tone sounded insincere.

Wen Ran confird her guess, her calm heart like a lake ruffled by a gentle breeze. She tightened her grip on the phone and said, “It was Mo Xiuchen who told Luo Haofeng, and Luo Haofeng who told you.”
“Ranran, how could you guess that so quickly, it’s no fun at all. But, I bet you can’t guess what Mo Xiuchen said to Luo Haofeng?” Bai Xiaoxiao said proudly, “Mo Xiuchen’s kindness towards you, I’m really jealous. Wen Ran pursed her lips, her emotions churning inside.

In Gu Kai’s office at the hospital, Mo Xiuchen, seated on the sofa, his long, fair fingers gently stroking a glass, looked every bit the epito of cool elegance.

Mo Xiuchen furrowed his brows, trying hard to rember sothing, but his mind was blank.
“Why did I fake my death and deceive Ranran?”
Gu Kai lifted the cup and took a sip of coffee before speaking leisurely, “Originally, Ranran had sworn not to tell you about the past, nor let us speak of it. But since you now know the truth, there’s no need for to keep hiding it from you.”
“I don’t care about the oath she made.” Mo Xiuchen’s expression beca sober, his tone sowhat heavy.
