Under the dim light from the window, he looked at Janice’s sleeping face and sighed in resignation. Then he gradually closed his eyes.
The next morning, Janice got up as usual. When she went downstairs, she saw a lively Nino.
"Nino, are you all right?"
She picked up Nino and held her in her arms.
Nino wagged her tail happily at her.
Janice played with her for a while. Then she put her down.
When she walked into the kitchen, Christopher had already made two sandwiches, which looked very delicious.

"Who is it?"
So early in the morning.
Christopher stood up while saying, "Rob."
He walked toward the door. Soon, he returned with a docunt bag. Janice glanced behind him and asked, "Where’s Rob?"
"He has gone back." He put the docunt bag aside and continued to eat breakfast.
Janice said in surprise, "You’re kidding. Why do you ask him co over so early in the morning?"
Christopher glanced at her and said, "As my assistant, it’s his duty to be available
when I need him."
Janice twitched her mouth and said, "I know, you’re the boss."
Christopher took a sip of milk and put down the glass. Then he picked up the docunt bag on the table and opened it. He took out a stack of docunts from it, but one of them unexpectedly fell at Janice’s feet.
Seeing this, she bent down to pick it up and accidentally scanned through its contents.
"What is this?"
Christopher looked over and said, "It should be the information about the secretary selected by Rob."
"Secretary?"
Initially, Janice did not intend to take a look, but when she heard the word, she took a closer look.

Janice glared at him and answered, "No."

"So, what’s the requirent for being your secretary?" Janice asked.
Christopher thought for a mont and said, "It is Rob who are responsible for recruitnt. I only have one requirent -- to abide by his or her duty."
Janice’s expression eased up slightly when she heard this.
"It seems that you still rember you’ve married."
Christopher said aningfully, "Do you want to admit that you are jealous? If you do, I can make the requirent more demanding."
Janice refused in her heart.
After breakfast, the two drove away separately.
Janice took Nino to the hospital while Christopher went to his office.
When he entered his office, he called Rob in.
"Start the eting right now. Arrange it."
"Yes," Rob replied.
Rob turned around and was about to go out.
"Wait."
Christopher stopped him and said, "Change the requirents for recruiting secretary. Only males are permitted to apply."

Rob confusedly asked, "But Mr. Bateman, your secretary has always been female."
"From now on, only males are allowed."
After Christopher finished his instructions, he lowered his head and continued to work. Rob stood there for a few seconds before turning to leave.
A short while later, Rob returned.

Janice drove to the pet hospital.

Janice carried Nino to the third floor and saw a female in a lab coat in the room. Then she carried Nino in.
"Hello, are you Doctor Valen?"

Janice felt that she had seen this pair of eyes before, but she couldn’t rember exactly.
She said, "The nurse downstairs asked to co here for the examination." "What’s wrong with the dog?" The veterinarian asked.

As the doctor listened, she examined Nino.

Seeing this, Janice asked, "Doctor Valen, have we t before?"
The doctor did not speak, but slowly took off her mask.

The doctor nodded. "It’s nice to et you again."

"Sophie Valen."
"Thank you, Doctor Valen," Janice thanked her again.
Sophie smiled and said, "It’s okay."
Janice said, "Then I’ll be leaving."
Sophie nodded and waved her hand towards Nino who was in Janice’s arms. "Nino, bye."
Janice was about to leave. But when she heard this, she turned around and looked at Sophie in confusion. "Doctor Valen, how did you know her na?"
Sophie awkwardly said, "I heard you call her during the examination."
Janice was still a little confused.
She didn’t think much about it and left with Nino.
Sophie stared at her departing figure, curled her lips, and sat back down. Suddenly, her phone rang.
She picked it up.
"Dad."
"Sophie, where have you been so early in the morning?"
Nathan’s voice ca from the phone.
Sophie answered, "Dad, I’m going to work."
"Work? Where do you work?"
Sophie answered, "Before I ca back, I had already contacted a pet hospital in Denvolo."
On the other end of the line, Nathan frowned and scolded, "Why do you keep fiddling with those things?"

"Dad, as you know, I’ve always liked these small animals," said Sophie.
Nathan paused and then said, "I’ve already arranged it for you. Your brother needs a secretary. Go and help him."
However, Sophie said, "Dad, I’d better not. He hasn’t forgiven yet."

Sophie nodded when she saw Janice.
"Are you waiting for a taxi?"
Sophie nodded.
"Why don’t I send you off?" Janice suggested. "That’s too much trouble for you." Sophie said. Janice shook her head. "No, I have ti. Let’s go." Hearing this, Sophie followed her over.
Janice waited for Sophie to fasten her seatbelt and then drove the car out.
"Doctor Valen, where are you going?" Janice asked.
Sophie replied, "Techno Tower."
"Techno Tower?"
"What a coincidence!" Janice was stunned.
Sophie looked at her and asked, "You’re going to Techno Tower as well?"
Janice shook her head. "No, my husband works there."
"Well, I see."
Sophie looked down and shifted her gaze to Nino, who was sitting in the back seat.
She stretched out to pick up Nino, put her on her lap, and fondled her.
Nino lay there, docile and obedient.
Janice was a bit surprised when she saw this scene. After all, Nino wasn’t as gentle as she seed to be.
She said, "Nino seems to like you very much. Normally she’s very cagey around strangers."
Sophie smiled faintly, "Maybe it’s because I’m a veterinarian."
Janice thought for a mont and agreed. After all, Doctor Valen worked with animals all the ti.
