Christopher smiled without saying a word. He thought to himself, "Do you think I don’t know the professional habits of reporters?"

Janice took the cara and excitedly pressed on the shutter at the seascape.

Christopher stood aside and watched her cheer like a child.

He had never seen Janice so happy before.

"Hubby, look, the sun’s coming out."

Janice exclaid as she pressed the shutter.

Only then did Christopher’s eyes fall on the place where the sea and the sky t in the distance.

At this mont, the halo of the sun spread out. The sun that was as bright as a ball of flas slowly rose on the horizon.

The light spread little by little, sprinkling on the blue sea. It was gorgeous and indescribably spectacular.

Janice couldn’t resist exclaiming, "Hubby, look, the sun is rising!"

She was so happy that she danced like a child and was filled with vitality.

Christopher stared at her side profile, feeling that the sunrise had lost its brilliance in front of her.

At that mont, Janice was the most beautiful thing before him. Her every frown and smile, and her every move seed to play through in his mind like a slow motiontapemotion tape. She was even more beautiful than the colorful clouds in the sky.

He couldn’t help but step forward and put his hands on her cheeks. He kissed her gently on the lips.

Janice was confused at first, but she reacted quickly when Christopher kissed her.

She hooked her arms around his neck and responded enthusiastically.

Just like that, the two kissed passionately. The heated kiss was hotter than the sun in the sky.

anwhile, at the Allson’s villa.

Old Mr. Allson finally returned ho as he’d wished.

"I’m old. I can’t go anywhere else. It’s more comfortable to stay at ho." Old Mr.

Allson sighed with emotion as soon as they entered the house.

Alia, who was pushing his wheelchair, frowned. She did not know if it was right or wrong to agree to her father’s discharge from the hospital.

But compared with how gloomy he had been in the hospital, she would rather see her father happy.

She pushed the wheelchair into the living room before saying, "Don’t celebrate so early. Repeat what you promised ."

Old Mr. Allson furrowed his brows when he heard this.

"Why are you ruining the mood? Can’t you just let be happy for a bit?"

Alia was speechless. She knew that her father wouldn’t go back on his word as soon as he returned ho.

She said, "Since that’s the case, I might as well send you back to the hospital."

With that, she pushed the wheelchair and was about to turn around.

"No, no, no." Old Mr. Allson exclaid.

Alia stopped and stared at him calmly.

Old Mr. Allson said with an uneasy expression, "Alright, I won’t forget what I promised you. I’ll keep it in mind."

"It’s not enough to just keep it in mind. You have to implent it." Alia emphasized.

Old Mr. Allson shot her a helpless glare. "Alright."

He thought to himself, ’This daughter of mine is really troubleso.’

He said, "You aren’t going to leave again now that you are back, are you?"

Alia replied, "That may not be so. It... depends on your performance."

"What performance?" Old Mr. Allson harrumphed.

A bright glimr flashed through Alia’s eyes, "Of course it’s about whether you’re willing to cooperate with the doctor."

And it ca back to this. Old Mr. Allson was rather annoyed and he said, "I will do anything as long as you all don’t send back to the hospital."

"You said that yourself. Then I’ll get a doctor to co." Alia said.

...

Old Mr. Allson turned his head away grudgingly and ignored her.

"Sir, Miss Alia, there is soone at the door..." Said Nanny Daisy.

"Nanny Daisy, who’s that outside?"

Alia asked when she saw how hesitant Nanny Daisy was.

Nanny Daisy replied awkwardly, It’s... Mr. Bateman."

The expressions of Old Mr. Allson and Alia darkened.

It was Alia who reacted first and said to her father, "Dad, I’ll go out and have a look."

Old Mr. Allson nodded without saying a word.

Alia walked to the door. Nathan was standing at the door, holding so supplents. It was obvious what he was here for.

Alia swept her eyes coldly over him. "What are you doing here?"

When Nathan saw Alia coming from the inside, he was slightly stunned.

Even though they have not t in the past few years, he had never forgotten her voice, her appearance, and her smile.

However, they were just mories and could not be compared to the actual person. Nathan’s pupils contracted, "Alia..."

He wanted to step forward but was stopped by Alia. "Just... just stand there and speak."

As she spoke, she turned around, closed the door, and walked into the courtyard.

Nathan followed her.

"Alright, what are you doing here?"

Alia turned her back on him, sounding rather distant.

Nathan paused for a mont before stepping forward. "I heard that Dad has been discharged from the hospital, so I ca over to take a look."

Alia sneered and said, "You must have misspoken. He is my father. Don’t forget that we are divorced."

Nathan frowned. "Alia, I did not agree to get a divorce."

Alia sneered, "Do I need you to agree? One can get divorced by being separated for two years. We’ve been separated for ten years and that is enough for us to divorce several tis over."

She kept talking about divorce, and Nathan felt a little dejected by that.

"Even so, as long as we don’t get a divorce certificate, we are still husband and wife."

His words reminded Alia of one thing. "You’ve just reminded when to go to the Civil Affairs Bureau to get a divorce certificate."

Nathan was rendered speechless by her.

"Anyway, I will not agree to it," He insisted.

Alia found him ridiculous.

"What’s wrong? Didn’t you say that I’m a vicious woman? Since I’m so vicious, do you want to keep around instead of divorcing ?" Said Alia sarcastically.

Nathan knew that she was angry. It would be even harder to communicate with her if he were to argue with her.

"Let bygones be bygones."

These words thoroughly angered Alia. She recalled everything upsetting that had happened and her expression beca freezing cold. "I can’t. Nathan, do you think I can be slandered by you at will?"

He had underestimated her.

Nathan knew that it was useless for him to say anything at this ti. He felt a little powerless.

"Sophie has grown up."

"So what if she’s grown up? Can we pretend that all those things she did never happened now that she’s grown up?"

Alia sneered and then glared at him sharply. "Speaking of which, I want to ask you sothing. Why did you insist on making my son marry your adoptive daughter? Do you think my son is a trash can that accepts all kinds of trash?"

Her words sounded a little harsh, and Nathan felt rather unhappy about it. "Don’t be so harsh. Sophie is a good girl."

"A good girl?" Alia’s expression instantly beca as cold as ice. "Nathan Bateman, get out of here! Now!"

Nathan was soone who cared a lot about presentation. He would not be thick-skinned and remain there after being driven away by Alia.

......

He handed over the supplents he was holding.

"These are all good for the health. Help give them to Dad. I’m going back first."

Not only did Alia not reach out to take the supplents, but she didn’t even spare him a glance.

After he left, Alia kicked the gifts on the floor.

"Nanny Daisy, throw these supplents out."

Nanny Daisy approached and carried the supplents to the door.

Nanny Daisy threw out with the supplents as soon as Nathan got to the door.

While Nathan was angry, he could only hold it in and pretend not to have seen Nanny Daisy since he was very concerned about his reputation. He was just about to continue forward when he caught a glimpse of Sophie, who was standing around the corner.

She stood there with red-rimd eyes as if she had just cried.

A thought suddenly occurred to Nathan and he strode forward.

"You heard everything."

Sophie nodded with red-rimd eyes.

"Don’t mind her, your aunt has always had a temper." Nathan comforted her.

Sophie sniffed and said, "Dad, is Auntie still unwilling to forgive you?"

Nathan frowned and didn’t say anything.

Seeing this, Sophie lowered her head in self-bla. "It’s all my fault."

Seeing that she was blaming herself, Nathan said, "Don’t say that. Let’s go back."

He patted her on the shoulder and walked toward the car.

Unknown to him, after he left, Sophie’s expression instantly changed and she narrowed her eyes coldly.

As soon as Nathan’s car drew away, Christopher’s car stopped at the door.

"It’s all your fault. Why did you have to kiss here? How am I going to face everyone with all these marks?"

Janice scolded as she looked at herself in the mirror.

However, there was no response from Christopher for a long ti. She turned her head and saw him gripping the steering wheel and staring at the rearview mirror.

Puzzled, she asked, "What are you looking at?"

Only then did Christopher co back to his senses. He shook his head and said, "Nothing. Let’s go in."

He got out of the car.

Janice was speechless. He hadn’t heard a single word of her complaints.

When the two walked in, only Old Mr. Allson was sitting there, and he did not look very well.

Christopher imdiately realized that sothing had happened when he saw the scene. He looked around and stepped forward. "Grandpa, where is my mother?"

Old Mr. Allson sighed and pointed in the direction of the stairs. "Upstairs." Christopher nodded. After exchanging a few words with Janice, he hurried upstairs.

Janice did not know why Christopher was rushing upstairs. She walked over and chatted with Old Mr. Allson.

In the bedroom upstairs.

Alia stood by the window, gazing at the scenery outside. Her face was expressionless.

There was a sudden knock on the door.

She gathered her thoughts.

"Co in."

The door was pushed open from the outside and Christopher walked in. When he saw his mother standing alone by the window, his eyes darkened and he hesitated for a mont before walking forward.

"Mom, why did you let Grandpa leave the hospital?"

It was a question, but Christopher did not sound like he was asking a question.

Instead, he sounded like it was looking for sothing to say.

Alia slowly turned around with a smile on her face.

"Your Grandpa can decide for himself. Old people hate staying in the hospital."

Christopher did not refute his mother’s words. He nodded and stepped forward to observe his mother’s expression.

"By the way, I saw his car driving away. Did he co to harass you just now?" Alia naturally knew who her son was referring to.
