Nia was shocked, caught off guard.

Her mind raced, but she still couldn’t figure out why Edbert wanted her.
Amid many puzzled looks, Nia left the Secretary Departnt confused.
Upon leaving, the Secretary Departnt instantly erupted like a boiling pot, filled with chatter and gossip.
When Nia pushed open the grand gate to Edbert’s office room, she finally understood the aning behind the expressions of those in the Secretary Departnt earlier.
What t her eyes was Maxwell Peary in a black suit.
Why was he here?
Nia Mitchell’s mouth twitched. Standing at the doorway, she didn’t know how to face the situation before her.
"Why not co over?"
Edbert saw Nia just standing there and imdiately spoke.
"Oh, okay."
She unnaturally approached Edbert’s desk, her gaze occasionally landing on Maxwell sitting on the sofa.
"Why did you co to work with an injury? Why not take leave?"
It turned out the CEO was still worried about Nia’s hand injury and had decided to co to Star dia directly.
