SWOOSH. Nia Mitchell’s face turned beet red.
"No... Don’t..."
She refused to do such an embarrassing thing and instinctively tried to pull her hand away.
But Maxwell Peary had anticipated this move, increasing his strength to immobilize her.

Nia’s hands were finally free to move. She awkwardly fumbled with Maxwell’s expensive belt, trying to undo it.
For Maxwell, undoing his belt was usually instantaneous, yet Nia took a full two minutes... and still hadn’t managed it.
Is she an idiot, or is she deliberately torturing ?
The idiom "every day feels like a year" perfectly described Maxwell’s current mood.

Nia’s timid voice reached him. Maxwell, suppressing his burning desire, bit back the roar that was building in his throat.
"What is it?"
"I... I don’t know how to undo it..."
She’d originally thought n’s belts were simple, but she had clearly overestimated her own intelligence. She silently consoled herself. It was her first ti encountering a belt like this; it was normal not to know how.

Nia’s voice was muffled. Maxwell held her small hand, guiding her step by step as she undid the belt.

The belt sprang open. It was so simple!
"Simple, isn’t it?" Maxwell saw the fleeting surprise in Nia’s eyes and said with a smile.
"Yes, it’s so simple! I can’t believe I didn’t know how before. I learned it in one try! Next ti, I can... Uh..."
Oh my god, what did I just say? Ugh, no, no, no, there won’t be a next ti!
"Heh-heh."
Nia’s clear regret greatly amused Maxwell. He reached out to stroke her hair.

His low, husky voice, with its teasing upward lilt, sent shivers down Nia’s spine. She gulped in fear, wishing she could bite off her own careless little tongue.
