Maxwell Peary smiled. Seeing her eat so happily, he didn’t bother with chopsticks, simply reaching out to pinch a soup dumpling and toss it into his mouth.
"Don’t fight for it!"
Nia Mitchell quickly moved the saucer filled with soup dumplings in front of her protectively, puffing out her cheeks and glaring.
Maxwell Peary chuckled and shook his head. How could I bear to snatch them from her?
"Deliver lunch for ."
Maxwell Peary insisted, his dark pupils like unfathomable deep pools.
Nia Mitchell kept chewing on the food in her mouth, her cheeks puffing out with each chew.
Looking at him, she knew she had never won against Maxwell Peary’s stubbornness.
"I’ll go only after everyone leaves work," she mumbled, continuously stuffing food into her mouth.
"Fine."
"I decide what dishes to deliver."
Maxwell Peary frowned. Hearing this, he knew she was up to so mischief again. Perhaps lunch would consist entirely of dishes he disliked.
Pausing for a mont, he sighed.
"Fine."
Nia raised her eyebrows. He agreed? Though she didn’t dare hesitate.
Holding back her laughter, she pinched another soup dumpling, tossed it into her mouth, and continued chewing.
"Uncle, if I bring you lunch, is it okay if I start work in the afternoon?"
Nia considered. I can’t always be taking leave, can I? Today is already Friday. If I don’t go to work today, I’ll have to wait another two days.
"Fine, you decide for yourself."
Watching Maxwell Peary leave for work with her own eyes, Nia Mitchell imdiately spun around and ran back into the house.
"Butler, does Uncle like eating Dumplings?"
Nia Mitchell rushed to the back garden and found Frederick Goldsmith, the butler, who was watering the flowers.
"The young master only eats beef Dumplings."
Frederick Goldsmith put down the watering can. After speaking, he looked sowhat perplexed.
"Why are you asking, young mistress?"
"I want to make Dumplings to send to the company at noon."

The driver parked the car in front of the company building. Nia Mitchell, holding a food box, stealthily ran to the CEO’s exclusive elevator, pressed the button for the twenty-eighth floor, and walked in.
PHEW! After entering the elevator, Nia Mitchell took a deep breath.
I shouldn’t run into anyone I know now; the CEO’s exclusive elevator won’t stop halfway, she thought.
"Please don’t let there be anyone outside when the elevator door opens!" Nia Mitchell muttered to herself, then took out her cell phone to check the ti again.
It was past twelve. Usually, at this ti, nobody would be in the Secretary Departnt.
DING!
The elevator stopped and opened slowly.
Holding her breath nervously, Nia Mitchell squeezed her eyes shut. Once the elevator doors had fully opened, she cautiously peeked with one eye.
What t her eyes was... Sierra Wright, standing shocked at the twenty-eighth floor’s reception desk.
Nia Mitchell swallowed hard and awkwardly walked out.
"That... I’m here for work," she explained dryly. I took leave this morning, so coming in a bit early this afternoon should be understandable, right? she reasoned.
Sierra Wright gave a dry laugh and pointed at the elevator.
"This is the CEO’s exclusive elevator."
Nia Mitchell played dumb and turned around to look at the elevator.
"Is it?" she feigned surprise, trying to mask her guilt. "I... I’m new, so I didn’t know. This is the CEO’s exclusive elevator? Are we not supposed to use it? I get it, I get it. I won’t use this one next ti. You haven’t eaten lunch yet? You work too hard! I’ll go get to my work now."
Nia Mitchell rambled on and on without giving Sierra Wright a chance to speak, quickly running in.
Sierra Wright stood there stunned, words caught in her throat.
For goodness’ sake, Miss! The CEO’s elevator requires a password, okay!?
