Hearing Alan Morgan’s words left Shirley Grant feeling utterly humiliated.
"Fine, I did seduce you. You paid a severance fee, and I accepted it. We’ve been square for a long ti now."
Shirley had ntally prepared for this, willing to accept the loss. If he could speak so bluntly, then she could steel herself for anything.
Alan Morgan didn’t expect Shirley Grant’s admission. Once he heard it, he felt he had sowhat lost his moral high ground.
Alan Morgan stared angrily at Shirley Grant for a long mont before saying, "Out. As your superior, I’m ordering you."
With those words, Alan Morgan was the first to leave.
The Secretary Departnt was still buzzing; this drama had left people speechless.
Shirley Grant hesitated for a mont and then turned and left.
After the spectacle concluded, the staff of the Secretary Departnt were stunned.
It seed that Shirley Grant had truly joined MC because of Alan Morgan, but sothing had happened between them later.
anwhile, the company’s Forum suddenly exploded with chatter. A post appeared discussing the day’s events, and everyone in the Company was discussing it.
However, Nia Mitchell was still unaware of all this.
Like a victor, Phoebe Walker happily packed her things.
Her goal had been accomplished. It seed Shirley Grant wouldn’t be throwing her weight around the Secretary Departnt any longer. Maybe, before long, Shirley Grant would have to pack up and go ho. Being able to oust her greatest adversary before her own departure was simply the best!
"Nia Mitchell, you should thank . I took care of a major thorn in your side."
After saying this, Phoebe Walker packed her things and left work early.
The Secretary Departnt once again fell silent until the end of the workday.
"Finally, we’re off work! See you tomorrow, Nia Mitchell."
Diana Hill smiled at Nia Mitchell. They would be attending a dinner party tomorrow evening where they would et again.
Nia Mitchell smiled and nodded in response.
"We’ll et again at the dinner party."
Since Phoebe Walker had invited her, it would damage her pride if she didn’t attend. She wouldn’t let Phoebe intimidate her; she would go alone. The most Phoebe could do was verbally provoke her, but she couldn’t do anything truly harmful. Besides, if she went to Phoebe Walker’s birthday party alone, it might actually be Phoebe who ended up upset. Maybe Phoebe would get very, very angry. WAHAHA!
Having settled on this idea, Nia Mitchell began to cheer up. Friday was, after all, a joyful day.
Once everyone in the Secretary Departnt had left, Nia Mitchell PITTER-PATTERED to Maxwell Peary’s Office Room.
"Uncle?"
Nia Mitchell tested the waters, making sure no one else was inside before she jovially entered the Office Room.
"Done with work?"
Maxwell Peary relaxed his stern face, a hint of warmth softening his cold deanor.
If Alan Morgan were there, he would definitely complint Maxwell Peary on how quickly his deanor changed.
If any of the Managers who had been reprimanded all afternoon saw this, they would likely collapse to the ground in shock.
"Yes, we finished work a while ago. I waited until everyone else left before coming over. How co you, the CEO, are busier than everyone else?"
Nia Mitchell seated herself on a sofa, watching the preoccupied Maxwell Peary in front of her, careful not to disturb him.
In her mind, the CEO should be the one making the most important decisions, not wasting ti on trivial matters. Those petty things should be delegated to his subordinates. But why was Maxwell Peary, the CEO, so busy?
