Alan Morgan’s lips twitched. Was his boss lashing out in embarrassnt?
GULP. He abruptly swallowed.

Alan Morgan stared at his phone, utterly aghast.
Maxwell Peary threw the phone onto the coffee table. Wasn’t Rabina Mitchell supposed to have nowhere to go? She was clearly a crafty hare with many burrows!

Even though May hadn’t yet reached midsumr, the campus was already lush and green. Begonia flowers cascaded from the branches, their layered blossoms giving an air of luxuriousness. The vibrant petals swayed in the wind, emitting a delicate, soothing fragrance.
The atmosphere in the Principal’s Office was tense. The principal stood by, fidgeting nervously.
"Er... Young Master Peary..." Principal Wu forced an awkward smile, completely baffled as to why Young Master Peary was there.
"Quiet." Dressed in a black suit, Maxwell Peary stood by the window, hands in his pockets, appearing relaxed. His eyes, however, blazed with intense danger.
On the playground below, Nia Mitchell was strolling around the track with a young man.
Even though they were quite a distance away, Maxwell Peary could still see her every little expression: pouting, frowning, smiling...
Damn it! Who allowed her to smile so foolishly at another man?
"Who is that man?" Maxwell Peary gestured out the window, then turned to look at Principal Wu, who was still standing there awkwardly.
Principal Wu’s mind went blank.
"Huh? Ah? Who... Who is that?" Principal Wu tensed. Heavens! Soone actually dared to offend Young Master Peary? And the worst part was, that person was a student at his University A!
Principal Wu desperately wanted to make a good impression on Young Master Peary. But who exactly are you pointing at, Young Master Peary? Even if I knew who it was, I wouldn’t recognize them!
"Young... Young Master Peary! Please... the innocent shouldn’t suffer... Please be rciful..." Principal Wu was trembling so hard he almost knelt, terrified of inviting a catastrophe.
Hearing the obsequious voice behind him, Maxwell Peary waved his hand impatiently and decided to go himself.
anwhile, Nia Mitchell, still on the playground, had no idea that a storm of Maxwell Peary’s unique brand of tyranny was fast approaching.
"Thank you, Class President. I’ll definitely be at the party this weekend."
Ralph Perez smiled at Nia Mitchell. He had asked her out to discuss the party—not to invite her, but to warn her against going.
"Why?"
News of what happened at her engagent banquet had already spread throughout the campus, and it was bound to be brought up at the class gathering.
"I can’t hide forever," Nia Mitchell lanted. "Besides, it’s not like I did anything wrong." Sighing to the heavens, she knew she didn’t need to avoid anyone.
Her delicate and perfect profile seed to glow under the sunlight, and Ralph Perez couldn’t deny the stirring in his heart.
"Nia, don’t be sad."
Nia Mitchell turned and gave Ralph Perez a sweet smile. "Thank you for your concern, Class President."
"Nia, there’s sothing I want to tell you. Actually, I’ve always... always..."
"Uncle Peary!" Nia Mitchell stared in shock at the man approaching, unintentionally cutting Ralph Perez off.
Maxwell Peary walked over at a steady pace, backlit by the sun. His long shadow stretched out before him like a massive, imposing castle.
Ralph Perez followed Nia’s gaze. What a striking man. His deep, sharp eyes; his perfectly sculpted features... He was like a hawk in the night—cold, aloof, yet overwhelmingly imposing. Standing there alone, he exuded an aura of dominance, as if the whole world was beneath him.
