Perhaps, this was the feeling of being cared for.
He wore a smile all the way, and they soon arrived at Royal View Villa.
Stepping onto this path once again, Nia Mitchell looked at the flowers planted on both sides and, surprisingly, felt indifferent.
"It’s that one up ahead."
Nia Mitchell pointed to a villa in front of them, then led Maxwell Peary over.
"I designed many parts of the interior here. How unpredictable life is. Back then, I must have been so foolish not to realize Hendry Hampton had no feelings for ."
She took out the key from her bag and was about to unlock the door when she paused.
"Uncle, would this be considered breaking and entering?"
Her eyes widened in sudden fear; she didn’t want to drag Maxwell Peary into these ssy affairs.
"Breaking and entering? Even if you blew this place up, I’d cover for you."
Maxwell Peary confidently took the keys from Nia Mitchell’s hand, unlocked the door nonchalantly, and walked in first.
HMM.
The pale yellow color sche imparted a warm feeling. The layout was simple, refreshingly unconventional.
Not far away, huge transparent French doors stood wide open. The curtains fluttered in the breeze, revealing a wooden archway overgrown with green vines. The air was filled with the fresh scent of plants.
"That’s the garden over there."
Seeing Maxwell Peary constantly looking towards the French doors, Nia Mitchell casually explained.
"You can get a panoramic view of the garden from the Main Bedroom on the second floor; it’s really pretty."
Every ti Nia Mitchell ntioned this place, she would beam with pride; after all, a large part of this interior design was her work.
"Really?"
Maxwell Peary asked coldly, then took the lead in going upstairs. He really wanted to see what Nia Mitchell’s design was like.
Nia Mitchell jogged lightly to keep up with the CEO’s pace, feeling a bit uneasy, not knowing which of her words could have possibly offended him again.
She stuck out her tongue awkwardly and followed him with a guilty conscience.
Upon opening the door on the second floor, the first thing that ca into view was a huge, luxurious bed covered with bright red sheets and a quilt, the room awash with festive cheer.
Even the walls were covered with "double happiness" characters.
Maxwell Peary felt a wave of relief, glad he hadn’t seen any so-called wedding photos here.
He didn’t even need to look to know this was the bridal suite, the room Rabina Mitchell had prepared for her wedding to soone else. If that Hendry Hampton hadn’t been such an idiot, Rabina Mitchell would now belong to another man. The re thought turned his stomach.
"You put a lot of effort into the decoration, didn’t you?"
Maxwell Peary remarked sarcastically, sliding open the glass door and stepping onto the Balcony.
The view from the Balcony was, just as she’d said, exceptionally beautiful, but he was in no mood to appreciate it.
"Of course, I put in effort. After all, I thought this was where I would be living for the rest of my life."
Whenever she thought of this, Nia Mitchell would beco annoyed. If only I’d known! I would have made this place a complete ss, ensuring they’d be miserable living here. Now, I can’t even make them uncomfortable, and Hendry Hampton got this beautiful place for nothing!
What Nia Mitchell didn’t know was that years later, while cleaning, she would accidentally find a folder in Maxwell Peary’s study. The folder contained all of Maxwell Peary’s property deeds.
And the property deed for this villa in Royal View Villa was in that folder. The accompanying docunts stated the acquisition date was just three days after their visit.
