Robert Perez stood up and walked towards Nia Mitchell, his face full of anger.
"Return my daughter to !"
He charged forward, pointing at Nia, seeming as if he couldn’t wait to tear her in half.
Nia was certain that if it were not for the crowd of spectators, this Robert Perez would have attacked her already.
Despite her fear at this mont, she knew she had to stay here; she couldn’t leave. It wouldn’t be long until Maxwell Peary arrived.
With this in mind, she rallied her spirits and mustered her courage.
"What makes you assu your daughter is with ? Based on your speculation alone?"
Nia had been carrying snacks she bought at the Supermarket. Her arms were getting tired, so she placed the two shopping bags on the ground.
"My daughter disappeared after offending you. Who else could be responsible if not you?"
Nia sneered. So she had a motive, but how did that make her the culprit?
"On what basis do you interrogate based on your wild speculation? You just said your daughter disappeared after offending . Why don’t you explain clearly how she offended ?"
Robert Perez froze. It was hard to believe; how could this woman’s deanor change so drastically in an instant?
She no longer seed as helpless as she had at first, nor did she passively let him do all the talking.
Although she still couldn’t clear her na, her words now revealed composure and were remarkably logical.
"It was your daughter who planted her diamond ring in my bag! In front of so many people, she searched my bag, pulled out the ring, and frad as a thief. Later, when she heard that surveillance caras had recorded the entire incident of her framing , she lost her composure, tried to stop from calling the police, and smashed my phone! On what grounds do you say she offended ? Why not say she bullied ?"
Nia took a few steps forward, staring directly into Robert Perez’s eyes.
"Didn’t all of this happen right under your nose, her father? You shielded your daughter, so what right do you have now to repeat her actions and fra again?"
Nia shouted, her voice growing sowhat dry and hoarse after her tirade.
Robert Perez repeatedly backed away, shaking his head in denial.
"No, it wasn’t! It wasn’t! It was you! You clearly stole the ring, got caught, and that’s why you harbored resentnt!"
At this mont, Robert Perez couldn’t admit they had been wrong; he had to persist with the false accusation to the very end.
Nia laughed coldly. So this was the Perez Family. Truly birds of a feather. She had initially thought Robert Perez possessed so conscience; it turned out she had been blind.
"If I stole your daughter’s ring, why didn’t you call the police?"
If she had truly been caught red-handed, would the Perez Family have let her go?
"My daughter is kind-hearted! She wanted to give you a break! Who knew you’d repay kindness with malice and even harm my daughter?"
Robert Perez was twisting facts and arguing illogically. He even had the gall to claim his daughter was kind-hearted; wasn’t he afraid of biting his own tongue for uttering such shaless lies?
"Then call the police! You have everything you could want—money, power—so why are you making such a scene with here?"
Weren’t there people in the crowd just now who recognized him? The Chairman of the Perez Family—how could he possibly lack any power?
Making a scene like this on the street was completely unbecoming of his status.
"Power? HA! It was you, you little vixen, who bankrupted our Perez Family! And now you want to see us utterly ruined, our family destroyed! Even as a ghost, I will never let you go!"
