"If you truly believed Maxwell Peary didn’t care about and wouldn’t co looking for , you wouldn’t have chosen this mont, while he’s away from Capital Town, to move against . The truth is, you know better than anyone how much he cares."
Nia Mitchell was certain of this, her eyes filled with determination.
"Maxwell Peary doesn’t care about you! You’re just a commoner; girls like you are a di a dozen on any Main Street. Maxwell Peary has always associated with young ladies from upper class society. He’s only intrigued by soone like you because you’re a novelty, that’s all."
Phoebe Harris also rose from her chair. Her lips, coated in bright red lipstick, moved as she spoke, every word laced with contempt.
Nia Mitchell was about to retort when another large group of n in black suddenly appeared. They were just as tall and powerfully built as the first group, their skills clearly formidable.
They quickly surrounded everyone present. Then, a figure slowly approached from a distance.
