Nia Mitchell bristled. You, dull? You’re the smartest person in the world!
"Hm?"
Maxwell Peary deftly caught Nia Mitchell’s chopsticks with a reverse grip, preventing her from pulling away.
Nia Mitchell chuckled awkwardly. With a soft CLACK, she let go, and Maxwell Peary simply sat there, still holding her chopsticks.
Nia Mitchell bit her lip. "Those are my noodles..."

A smirk played on Maxwell Peary’s lips. His long, slender, pale left hand, with its clearly defined knuckles, tapped rhythmically on the tabletop.
"These are my noodles."
Nia Mitchell choked back her indignation. Alright, alright, alright. When you’re under soone else’s roof, you have to bow your head. He paid for the noodles. He cooked them. So, they’re his. But... he’s such a bully!
Turning her head away with a cold snort, Nia Mitchell ground her teeth.
Seeing her petulant expression, Maxwell Peary’s eyes crinkled with amusent. Why does she get angry so easily?
Seeing Maxwell Peary’s aningful smile, Nia Mitchell’s eyes darted thoughtfully.
"Those are my noodles!"
WHOOSH! Nia Mitchell shot up from her seat and, quick as lightning, snatched the bowl of noodles.
Her sche successful, Nia Mitchell let out a smug chuckle and made a face at Maxwell Peary.
"What’s yours is mine! I forbid you from eating my noodles. I’d rather throw them away than let you eat them!"
Nia Mitchell’s eyes were wide, her words laced with an unreasonable possessiveness. But this fierce protectiveness over her food just made her exceptionally cute.
Maxwell Peary sighed and leaned back in his chair. "Fine, I won’t eat them!"
There will be plenty of opportunities in the future. Once they get to know each other better, he’ll be able to do whatever he wants.

Nia Mitchell fluttered her eyelashes, her face a mask of fawning charm.
"I will!"
As he spoke, he picked up the cufflinks he had removed while cooking the noodles and slowly fastened them. His fair fingers moved with elegance. Nia Mitchell chuckled and ran to the sofa to grab her bag.

Maxwell Peary rubbed his forehead. What on earth is this situation?

"A new flavor, huh? If you don’t know whether it tastes good, you should try it. Here, let open it for you."
