"How the hell do you drive?" Fiona Sutton hollered, her furious, red eyes glaring at Yancy Hastings.
The corner of Yancy Hastings’s eye twitched. If his eyes weren’t deceiving him, it was she who had taken the turn too fast without looking, causing the collision, wasn’t it?
Walking to the front of his car, he glanced at his Military Vehicle. Not a scratch. Since that’s the case, no compensation is needed, right?
"I’m in a hurry. I’ll let you off today."
With that, he turned, ready to leave.
When Fiona Sutton heard this, she was instantly displeased. Is he trying to skip out on compensation and just run off? Isn’t he supposed to be incredibly rich? Could he really be short this little bit for repair fees?
"Don’t you go! You owe money! Look what you did to my car!"
Fiona Sutton rushed forward and grabbed him, afraid he might slip away if she wasn’t careful.
She was still looking for a job; she had no money for these repair fees.
Yancy Hastings frowned and glared at the hand gripping him.
As she drew closer, he suddenly slled alcohol on her.
"Are you insane? Drunk driving!"
Yancy Hastings couldn’t believe it; this damn woman had actually driven after drinking.
"I only had two drinks."
Fiona Sutton was perfectly lucid. Although her Wine tolerance wasn’t great, she did love Wine and had *so* tolerance for it. Drunk after two beers? That was completely impossible.
"Drunk driving is drunk driving. Do you have any regard for your own life at all?"
This Fiona Sutton is just being foolish.
As soldiers, what they cherished most was perhaps life itself. But often, they prioritized others’ lives. If all their training, day and night, all their hard work on the front lines, was to protect people like her, it was truly disheartening.
"I’m not drunk! Besides, it was clearly your car that hit mine!"
Anyone seeing this situation would know she was the victim.
A Military Vehicle is a Military Vehicle, after all. Despite such a strong impact, it didn’t have a single mark.
If she had been unlucky today, would she have died in the crash while Yancy Hastings remained unscathed? Damn it! That damned Yancy Hastings, that damned, classless lout!
"I’m not talking to a drunk. Get lost before I call the cops."
Yancy Hastings glanced at his watch again; he was really running out of ti.
If everyone was already assembled and just standing there waiting for him, he’d be in a really awkward spot.
Saying this, he flung Fiona Sutton’s hand away and made to leave.
"You classless jerk! You hit and you think you can just walk away? If you don’t pay for my repairs, I’m calling the police!" Fiona Sutton roared. Nothing good ever happened when she ran into this Yancy Hastings.
Even if I can’t win, I have to fight!
Fiona Sutton was practically bristling, wishing she could tear Yancy Hastings to shreds on the spot. Old grudges and new piled up, ready to be settled all at once.
"You’re drunk driving and you still dare to call the police?"
Yancy Hastings, who already had a poor impression of Fiona Sutton, felt even more contemptuous after hearing her words.
He hadn’t expected soone in this world could be so greedy. She’d rather risk being detained than not squeeze so money out of him. Heh, he was even starting to suspect that Fiona Sutton had staged this whole thing today.
"You’re the one who hit ! Why the hell wouldn’t I dare call the police?"
Fiona Sutton threw her head back and puffed out her chest. So what if drunk driving leads to detention? Detention, so be it! She couldn’t care less about that. She was going to make this Yancy Hastings suffer a huge loss. Make him lose face—yes, lose face in that Military Uniform of his.
