"But I don’t really need an assistant."
"Our relationship will inevitably beco public sooner or later. To prevent you from being caught off guard then, I’ll have her teach you how to deal with various people and situations."
Maxwell Peary rubbed his temples. Although he had planned for Annie Davidson to beco Nia Mitchell’s assistant eventually, he hadn’t expected it to happen so quickly. Alan Morgan’s resignation had co too suddenly, leaving him sowhat unprepared.
"Alright." Nia Mitchell nodded earnestly, understanding Maxwell Peary’s concerns. She was touched that he had even considered these things for her.

Nia Mitchell pouted. Looking at the ss strewn across the floor, she carefully picked her way through it to stand before him.
"What is it?" Maxwell Peary looked at her. He was most susceptible to her soft, sweet voice.

Nia Mitchell’s heartfelt words greatly pleased the CEO.
Maxwell Peary gave her a smile that said, ’It’s good that you know,’ and reached out to pinch her soft cheek.
"It’s just that things will beco very demanding for you soon."
She would have to work during the day and study in her free ti. On top of that, she hadn’t officially graduated and still needed to prepare her thesis and other academic requirents.
