Fiona Sutton stopped in her tracks. She didn’t continue into the kitchen but turned to look at Charles Northwood.
"Who’s that student?"
She didn’t believe that Charles Northwood would casually let a stranger into his ho.
"A student from the Chinese Departnt."
Fiona Sutton rolled her eyes at him. Did he really need to state the obvious?
How co I didn’t know that you were this close to your students?
Charles Northwood rubbed his temples, his eyes tightly closed.
"Aren’t you and Nia Mitchell my students as well? Aren’t we close too?"
"Humph."
Fiona Sutton was left speechless. Were she and Nia Mitchell really considered his students? Seriously, it’s infuriating to compare people. The three of them were clearly classmates, so why was there such a huge gap now that they were at university? They were still students, while this Charles Northwood had fucking beco their professor. Damn! It was truly frustrating.
"If you don’t consider a friend, then so be it. I’ve never expected you to consider as one. Since you don’t want to talk, I’m not going to force you."
After saying this, Fiona Sutton left. Charles Northwood staggered off his bed.
Drunk? No. Perhaps there was a montary daze, but now, his mind was alarmingly clear.
「Morgan Group.」
In the vast CEO Office, Alan Morgan stood alone before the large floor-to-ceiling windows, a glass of red wine in his hand.
Everywhere he could see were bright lights, but she was nowhere to be found.
Thinking of Shirley Grant, Alan Morgan took a large gulp of his drink.
"Damn it!"
He couldn’t find her. Even with his informants spread everywhere, throughout the vast crowds, he still couldn’t locate her! Good job hiding, Shirley Grant!
"Mr. Morgan."
The secretary knocked on the door and entered. Seeing Alan Morgan standing by the floor-to-ceiling window, she paused in surprise.
"Mr. Morgan, these docunts need your signature."
Alan Morgan didn’t even turn his head, nor did he glance at the docunts.
"Give them to the old man."
He had indeed returned to the Morgan Corporation, but that didn’t an he would handle all its ssy affairs.
Seeing his irritation, the secretary felt troubled.
"But the Chairman asked to give them to you."
Moreover, the Chairman rarely ca to the Company these days, so all company matters had to be reported to Alan. Even if he didn’t want to handle them, there was no alternative. Who else could she take Company matters to if not him?
"Take them out!" Alan barked, furrowing his brows, his gaze still fixed outside.
"But Mr. Morgan..."
Where was she supposed to take them?
Seeing Alan so angered, the secretary felt helpless. She looked at the pile of docunts on the desk and finally had no choice but to take them back.
After hearing the door close, Alan Morgan turned, placed his wine glass on the coffee table, and decided he wouldn’t co to the office starting tomorrow.
What a fucking nuisance!
RING, RING, RING—
His phone suddenly rang. Startled, Alan frowned and picked it up.
"Hello?"
His voice was low and hoarse, deep and llow like alcohol.
"Mr. Morgan, we just received news that the villa in the Royal Bay Villa developnt has been sold by Miss Shirley Grant."
Alan Morgan instantly frowned, scarcely believing his ears.
She was so heartless and greedy? To the point of wanting to disappear completely and take enough funds with her?
"Damn it!"
"Find out where she sold it!"
"Damn her!"
"Yes, sir."
The person on the other end of the line agreed profusely, practically cringing as if Alan’s rage had transmitted through the phone.
Just his voice was enough to make them cower, let alone actually facing him... Too terrifying!
