Sensing he should have pulled the blanket over himself by now, Fiona Sutton lowered her hands from her face. Her face flushed as she looked at him.
For a mont, there was silence, the only sound in the large room being the pattering rain outside the window.
"Don’t worry, I won’t cling to you."
Fiona Sutton couldn’t stand this silence and spoke up first.
"Really?"
Hearing Fiona Sutton’s words should have pleased him, yet Yancy Hastings’ expression grew increasingly grim.
Why did her casual words grate on him so much?
"Yes, didn’t we agree? I sleep with you for one night, and you let go."
mories of last night flooded her mind, and the color drained from her face.
As the cold, harsh words left her lips, Fiona Sutton clenched her fists, struggling to suppress the pain surging in her chest.
"Really? I don’t seem to rember."
Yancy Hastings’ lips curled, his eyes narrowing as he emanated a dangerous aura.
"What do you an, you don’t rember? Say that again, and I’ll rip your mouth off."
Tsk—so crude.
"Turn around, I need to get dressed!"
Fiona Sutton stretched out a bare arm and swung a slap at him.
But who was Yancy Hastings? He reacted purely on instinct, his hand shooting out to catch her wrist, twisting it sharply.
"AHH!!!"
With a shriek like a stuck pig, Fiona Sutton quickly reached with her other hand to free herself.
In that very instant, the blanket covering her body slipped off, exposing her upper torso.
Fiona Sutton stood there, stunned. She looked down at herself, then up at Yancy Hastings, who was staring intently at her.
"AHH!!!!!! I’M GOING TO KILL YOU!!!"
Fiona Sutton roared. Snatching her hands back to cover herself, she lunged at him.
Seeing her peculiar reaction, Yancy Hastings swiftly reached out and pulled her into an embrace, preventing her from falling off the bed.
Fiona Sutton was incandescent with rage!
She opened her mouth and bit down hard on Yancy Hastings’ neck, clinging on tenaciously.
Sss— Yancy Hastings frowned. The pain was negligible to him, but with her lips pressed against his skin, a sudden heat coursed through him.
This sensation was just like last night.
Rembering the sensations from last night, Yancy Hastings felt as if every cell in his body was rioting.
As Fiona Sutton lunged, her smooth back was exposed, revealing several bluish-purple bruises.
It made him recall how he had entered her from behind last night...
Fiona bit down with all her strength, but Yancy didn’t even cry out, which thoroughly frustrated her.
Indignant, she lifted her head, about to utter a threat, only to find Yancy Hastings gazing at her, his eyes filled with raw desire.
Fiona was instantly on high alert!
Even with what she considered her virtually non-existent feminine intuition, she could sense the danger in his gaze.
She imdiately backed away.
"Turn around, I’m getting dressed."
For so reason, her face turned beet red under his intense stare.
However, even though she’d been speaking for a while, Yancy Hastings remained motionless.
"Hey! Turn around!"
Fiona snarled, so frustrated she desperately wished she could just smack him.
But... she had tried last night. She was no match for him.
Damn it!
This man was hardly human! He could overpower her with just one hand, even lift her up single-handedly.
He was too strong!
Way too strong!
"Fiona Sutton, were you truly willing last night?"
The events of last night played vividly in his mind. Yet, her actions and reactions this morning struck him as decidedly odd.
