After hanging up the phone, Nia Mitchell looked at Charles Northwood.
"Fiona Sutton was found, but she’s with soone else, so I have to go back to work first."
Nia Mitchell gave a small smile.
Charles Northwood nodded and stood to see her off.
"If...he bullies you, rember to tell ," Charles Northwood reminded her.
Just as he finished speaking, they both saw a woman standing not far away.
Tara Jason.
Nia Mitchell gave the female student a curious look, then turned to Charles Northwood again.
"Does she need sothing from you?"
Before Charles Northwood could answer, Tara Jason had already walked over.
"Hello." Tara Jason greeted Nia Mitchell with a broad smile.
She was beautiful, not in a flamboyant way; her beauty was more understated.
Nia Mitchell was taken aback but also smiled at Tara Jason.
"Hello."
"I’m Tara Jason, Professor Northwood’s girlfriend. Since we’re in a teacher-student relationship, it’s still a secret. But you’re Professor Northwood’s best friend, so you won’t tell, right?" Tara Jason introduced herself with a bright, cheerful smile.
After hearing her words, Charles Northwood’s face went dark.
Nia Mitchell was completely stunned, turning to look at Charles Northwood.
"This..."
She awkwardly pointed at Tara Jason. Oh my god, is this real or not?
"Charles, she’s your best friend. You shouldn’t mind telling her, right?" Tara Jason looked at Charles Northwood with a smile.
Charles Northwood’s face was gloomy. He didn’t look at Tara but turned to Nia Mitchell.
"I’ll deal with you later," Nia Mitchell hissed through clenched teeth, then gave Charles Northwood a sinister smile.
After saying that, she left by taxi.
She’d always thought she was the only one hiding things; turns out Charles Northwood was too...
Watching Nia Mitchell leave, Charles Northwood frowned and turned to look at Tara Jason.
"You just couldn’t wait?"
He was no longer as gentle and polite as before, his voice carried a hint of coldness.
"Yes, I just couldn’t wait." Tara Jason’s smile vanished. A bitter curve touched her lips as she looked at Charles Northwood.
"Why can’t you discuss these matters with ?" Charles Northwood roared, his face grim.
"I discussed it with you, but what was the outco?" Tara Jason flared up. Every ti she’d discussed things with him, his only answer had been to wait. "Wait until the end? And then what? Nothing!"
"Charles Northwood, have you never planned to introduce to your friends? What am I to you?" Tara Jason lowered her head, on the verge of tears.
"If you don’t like enough, if you’ve backed out, then let’s break up. I accept." Tara Jason hesitated for a long ti before finally blurting out these words.
Charles Northwood didn’t expect her to say this and was dumbfounded.
"Fine."
After dropping this word, Charles Northwood turned and left, leaving Tara Jason standing there alone.
"Charles Northwood!" Seeing that he had really left, Tara Jason shouted. "I hate you!"
After saying this, Tara Jason turned and ran away. This secret romance, unknown to anyone, vanished in an instant.
Nia Mitchell, however, knew nothing about all this. She was still reeling from the shock of Charles Northwood being in a relationship.
What the hell!
She’d known Charles Northwood since high school but had never seen him with a girlfriend. This was the first she was hearing of it.
It was truly shocking.
