She had just managed to regain the title of Head Secretary. If she happened to anger Maxwell Peary and get demoted again, it would be totally not worth it.
"I’ll investigate. If you’re lying, don’t even think about staying in this MC anymore."
Sophia Moore made a ruthless remark and decided to leave after putting down the docunt.
Unexpectedly, as soon as she put down the file, Owen Lewis suddenly appeared.
"Special Assistant Lewis."
Sophia Moore instantly grinned; seeing Owen Lewis made her smile like a blooming flower.
To her, Special Assistant Lewis was like a savior. Without him, she would still be a trivial secretary. She never would have beco Head Secretary so quickly otherwise.
Lewis walked in with a frown, rubbing his temples and uttering a soft, "Hmm." After just one day away, dark circles had appeared beneath his eyes.
The dark circles were so heavy they made one wonder if he hadn’t slept all night.
"You’ve been working really hard, Special Assistant Lewis. Shall I make you a cup of coffee?"
Sophia Moore, noticing Owen Lewis’s dark circles, imdiately stepped forward and offered.
Lewis hesitated for a mont, then nodded.
Though sleep was what he needed most right now, he couldn’t sleep and had to stay alert instead.
Seeing him nod, Sophia Moore was imdiately delighted.
"How would you like your coffee, Special Assistant Lewis? With sugar or without? If with sugar, how much? With milk or without? If with milk, how much?"
Owen Lewis’s head throbbed even more from the abrupt barrage of questions.
"I don’t want it anymore."
He’d have so tea later instead. There was tea in the Office Room.
Sophia Moore was stunned when he suddenly declined the coffee.
Did I say sothing wrong?
"If there’s nothing else, you may leave."
This woman is too noisy; Annie Davidson is better.
Annie Davidson... Damn it, she’s as good as evaporated, disappearing just like that!
Sophia Moore hesitated for a long mont before speaking.
"You must be very tired, Special Assistant. It’s a pity your assistant has only just arrived. But Nia Mitchell is very capable. Even if she’s two hours late, she can still complete her tasks."
She said this with a smile.
On the surface, she was complinting Nia Mitchell.
But in reality, she was pointing out that Nia Mitchell had been late.
Owen Lewis’s head was a ss. Not bothering with the scheming between these won, he just nodded and waved her away.
"Special Assistant, I’ve placed the files you need to review on your desk."
Unwilling to give up, Sophia Moore continued speaking.
"Get out!"
Owen Lewis finally exploded. He raised his head, his face dark, and glared at Sophia Moore.
He had never seen such a tactless woman. How on earth was soone like her recruited in the first place?
What use is a secretary who can’t read her boss’s mood?
She should just get lost, and the sooner the better.
Sophia Moore, startled by Owen Lewis, stared at him with wide eyes.
She couldn’t believe it. Was the Special Assistant really yelling at her?

He was just a special assistant. What right did he have?
"Special Assistant Lewis, don’t you think you went too far? I was rely showing concern for you. How could you say that?"
Sophia Moore actually confronted Owen Lewis.
So what if Owen Lewis was her boss?
Once she inherited everything from the Walker Family, what would he amount to then?
However, she didn’t know that once these words were spoken, there would be no taking them back, and she would pay the price.
