The manager was indeed in the wrong on this matter.
Many people had made reservations earlier, but he had to call each one to apologize. Naturally, he was scolded many tis, and so people swore they would never patronize the establishnt again.
But there was nothing he could do; even if it ant offending the entire world, he wouldn’t dare to offend Maxwell Peary.
"I made a reservation here, and you didn’t call in advance! Now you’re telling the entire place has been booked out and I can’t go in? What kind of twisted logic is that?" Sophia Moore was furious.
The manager was sweating profusely, his face etched with apology. "I apologize, Miss Moore. This was indeed our oversight. When we were apologizing and notifying each guest, we sohow overlooked you."
Sophia Moore might have felt unlucky, but the manager thought he was the one having a terrible day. The more frantic things beca, the easier it was to make mistakes, like sohow overlooking a guest’s notification.
"I don’t care! I’m going in today."
Honestly, what was this obsession with romantic gestures? Renting out the entire place? If you’re going to book out a venue, why not do it properly in advance? Sophia Moore despised people who made such impulsive romantic displays. Only those with no money or status would resort to such crude tactics to woo a woman. Pathetic! The woman being wooed was probably a gold digger, an absolute fool.
"I apologize, Miss Moore." Seeing her attempting to force her way in, the manager imdiately straightened his posture. He couldn’t possibly let her in. If Young Master Peary were to take offense, this Western Restaurant would be done for.
The nearby security guards also stepped forward, blocking Sophia Moore’s path.
"Do you people even want to stay in business?" Sophia Moore shouted in exasperation. "I know people at a news agency! When I expose you, you can just prepare to go bankrupt!" she threatened, her face flushed with anger.
"Even if you take us to the courtroom, we still won’t let you in." The manager retreated behind the security guards, looking at Sophia Moore, who was behaving like a shrew.
Never mind today; Sophia Moore shouldn’t even think of setting foot in here ever again. The manager had silently added her to the blacklist. Soone so ill-mannered would undoubtedly be a future liability for this Western Restaurant.
"You!" Sophia Moore hadn’t expected the manager to be so unyielding; she stomped her foot in fury. "Then tell , who is the person that booked this entire place!" She clenched her fists. She had to know.
The manager frowned. "I apologize, but that is confidential client information. We must protect our guests’ privacy." Simply put, he wouldn’t tell her.
"Hmph! You’re afraid I’ll retaliate against that person, aren’t you?" As Sophia Moore said this, there was a hint of smugness in her voice, as if their perceived fear empowered her.
The manager looked at Sophia Moore as if she had neurosis. Retaliate? Did she really just utter such a word? This woman was clearly not from a well-bred family. Besides, did he really need to worry about soone retaliating against Young Master Peary? That was utterly preposterous.
"If you want to retaliate, go right ahead."
"Alright then, tell who’s inside!"
Hmph! If he didn’t tell her, how could she retaliate? She had already decided: after exacting her revenge, she would pin the bla on this Western Restaurant. Then... Viciously!
"The person who booked the entire place today is Young Master Peary," the manager stated, his voice laced with arrogance, and he even raised an eyebrow provocatively at Sophia Moore after speaking.
Sure enough, as soon as he finished speaking, the color drained from Sophia Moore’s face.
