Nia Mitchell! It was still Nia Mitchell!
Nia Mitchell was standing there with a smile on her face, holding not only her own bag but also the CEO’s briefcase.
She had already given the car key to the valet, who would bring the car around shortly.
"Are you cold?" Maxwell Peary leaned closer to Nia Mitchell and asked softly.
The Western Restaurant was air-conditioned, so the temperature inside was comfortable. However, the weather outside was unpleasant; it had just been raining, and now a slight wind had picked up.
He was imdiately concerned about Nia Mitchell’s well-being, especially since she had only recently recovered from a fever.
"No, it’s almost sumr." How could I be cold?
Maxwell Peary nodded. The car had arrived, and he opened his umbrella, intending to escort Nia Mitchell to the passenger seat first.
However, a figure suddenly rushed toward them.
It was Sophia Moore.
Sophia Moore walked up to them, her expression stunned, like that of a wife who had just caught her husband flaunting his mistress.
"Sophia Moore?!"
Nia Mitchell was taken aback. She hadn’t expected to run into her here. This is too... too...
How could sothing this unlikely happen?
"What are you doing here?" Nia Mitchell asked, feeling a little uneasy as she stood beside Maxwell Peary.
Would Sophia Moore reveal their relationship? She had firsthand experience that being Mrs. Peary was like being in a spotlight. And not just a spotlight, but a position that made others green with envy. If these people knew she was Mrs. Peary, there’s no telling what they might do.
"Why wouldn’t I be here?!" Sophia Moore’s shrill voice cut through the rain, sounding utterly betrayed.
"Nia Mitchell, why are you with CEO Peary?"
This was Maxwell Peary, the man who made everyone in Capital Town steer clear of him!
Hadn’t it been said before that Nia Mitchell’s backer was Alan Morgan, the forr Special Assistant of the MC Group? So why is she with Maxwell Peary now?
"How did you hook up with CEO Peary?" Sophia Moore questioned her angrily, not considering that she had no right to do so.
"I... what business is it of yours?"
Nia Mitchell was exasperated. She couldn’t believe Sophia Moore would imdiately say such things.
Even soone as mild-tempered as her could get angry.
"How does it not concern ? Nia Mitchell, you have no sha!"
As Sophia Moore spoke, she raised her hand to strike Nia Mitchell, utterly unprepared for what would happen next.
Maxwell Peary had frowned the mont Sophia Moore appeared. Hearing her words now, his expression darkened. Seeing her actually reach for Little Rabina Mitchell, he reacted instantly, shoving her.
"AH!"
The ground outside the restaurant entrance was already soaked, a ss of mud and rainwater. Sophia Moore hadn’t expected Maxwell Peary to push her. Caught off guard, she lost her footing and sprawled onto the ground with a thud.
Her backside was instantly soaked! It was bitingly cold!
As she lay on the ground, her umbrella tumbled to one side, and the drizzling rain beat down on her.
In that mont, Sophia Moore had none of her usual arrogance and dominance.
"AH!"
The first scream was from the sharp pain of the fall.
The second scream was because she simply couldn’t accept what was happening before her eyes.
Passersby stopped at the sight, pointing and murmuring amongst themselves.
She was utterly humiliated. Sophia Moore’s cheeks burned, and she felt an intense discomfort, as if all eyes were daggers on her back.
"CEO Peary!"
If Nia Mitchell had pushed her, she would have undoubtedly rushed forward to retaliate furiously.
However, it was Maxwell Peary who had pushed her.
She didn’t have the courage to retaliate; she could only stare in disbelief.
