This left CEO Maxwell feeling a bit displeased. Why would he be embarrassed to bring it up? Shouldn’t he be allowed to show affection to his own wife?
"What?"
Maxwell’s face clearly showed his displeasure, his eyes narrowing as he looked at her.
Nia pouted, looking disgruntled as she leaned over and gave him a quick peck.
Honestly, all he thinks about day and night is this stuff! Hmph!
His spoiled wife seed a bit unhappy.
Maxwell’s eyes held a hint of amusent; he didn’t take it too seriously and simply wrapped his arms around her.
"Your class reunion is this week. I really want to go, but..."
He had other commitnts and couldn’t make it.
He had intended to bring it up before dinner, but seeing her in such a good mood, he couldn’t bear to ntion it.
"Ah?"
Nia was taken aback for a mont, but then her eyes filled with amusent again.
"You can’t bla for this; I wanted to introduce you to my classmates." But if you’re too busy, that’s your problem.
The CEO must be kicking himself for missing such a great opportunity, right?
Yes, Maxwell was indeed annoyed. How could sothing just co up so suddenly...?
Ultimately, it all ca down to blaming Alan Morgan. If Alan were still at the company, he could have taken care of that business, freeing Maxwell up.
Lewis’s personality wasn’t suited for that particular task.
"I don’t bla you!"
Maxwell gently stroked her head, a helpless expression on his face.
"Anyway, we’ll have plenty of opportunities in the future. Just don’t forget about this."
Hearing the CEO’s words, Nia nodded.
"Then, how about I arrange for you to et Charles Northwood tomorrow?" Charles Northwood would definitely love to et Maxwell.
Maxwell was taken aback. Should he tell her that he had already t Charles Northwood? He just hadn’t t Fiona Sutton.
But...after so thought, he decided against it.
"No need. Let’s just wait and et him along with Fiona Sutton soday."
He declined, and Nia shrugged. Well, this certainly isn’t my fault then.
Ti flew, and soon it was the weekend. Today was the day of her class reunion.
「Royal Dynasty Hotel」
"I’ll call you when I’m about to leave."
The class reunion would surely take so ti, and she didn’t want the driver to have to wait for her that long.
"Okay, Young Madam."
The driver nodded, watched Nia get out of the car and enter the Royal Dynasty, and then drove off.
Just as she entered the hotel, she spotted the class president, Ralph Perez, in the lobby.
"Nia, you’re here?"
When Ralph Perez saw Nia approaching, he imdiately went over to greet her.
"Yeah, Class President, you’ve worked hard." He must be swamped today; look at him, already sweating from all the running around.
"Not at all, not at all. Fiona and Charles are already here. I thought you guys would co together. You should head right in; it’s Private Room number 1."
When Nia heard that Fiona and Charles were already here, she paused, taken aback. They hadn’t called her. Could it be they’re still angry?
In a few steps, she arrived at Private Room number 1.
Nia pushed the door open and stepped inside. The first thing she saw was a lively gaggle of young won, and then a few young n clustered together.
Familiar faces surfaced in her mind one after another as Nia walked in with a smile.
"You guys arrived early."
After greeting them, she headed towards Fiona.
Charles and Fiona were seated apart, and there was a palpable tension in the air between them.
Nia had no idea what new issue had cropped up between them. Since she hadn’t even resolved her own matters yet, it wasn’t convenient for her to ask.
