Nia Mitchell was left silent by his question, a hint of embarrassnt gracing her features.
"Sothing ca up, but I’ll tell you about it when I get ho."
You’ve got to admit, Young Master Peary is quite sothing. With just a simple question, he had successfully diverted the conversation, making Nia Mitchell completely forget about her previous concerns.
In this respect, Young Master Peary was rather pleased with himself.
"Alright, what ti do you think you’ll be finished tonight? I’ll pick you up."
It was only noon, but there was a karaoke on the top floor of the Royal Dynasty Hotel. He figured they would likely go there to hang out later.
"I have no idea when it’ll end. We’ll see."
Nia Mitchell chuckled. She was about to say more when she noticed their class representative, Ralph Perez, striding towards her with a stern expression.
"’I can’t talk anymore. Get back to your work,’ she said quickly, then hung up and looked at Ralph Perez."
By then, Ralph Perez had reached her. Of course, he had seen her actions.
"’On the phone with your husband?’"
He hadn’t expected Nia Mitchell to actually be married. Even after everything that had happened with Hendry Hampton, it hadn’t changed the final outco.
"’Yes. Were you looking for , Class Rep?’"
She smiled and started walking back to the private room with Ralph Perez.
"’I’m sorry.’"
He hadn’t been able to help her.
"’It’s nothing. That’s just how Julia Adams is. What fault is it of yours?’"
There was no need to apologize for soone else’s actions. In this matter, Ralph Perez was just an onlooker.
Seeing the expression on Ralph Perez’s face, Nia Mitchell could sowhat guess what had happened in the private room after she left. It was probably just that they got suspicious because I was gone for so long. So they sent the Class Representative out to look for , which was a reasonable move that wouldn’t arouse suspicion about their motives.
"’So... how much did it all cost?’"
Ralph Perez hesitated for a long ti before finally asking.
Although he didn’t have money to help her cover it, he still wanted to know how much Nia Mitchell had ended up paying.
Hearing Ralph Perez’s question, Nia Mitchell paused. How much? She really didn’t know.
Nia Mitchell could only offer a smile. They had just reached the private room door, so she pushed it open and went in.
"’Well, well, had to send soone to find you? Were you hiding sowhere, heartbroken over the money, or crying your eyes out?’"
When Julia Adams saw Nia Mitchell co in, she couldn’t resist taunting her.
Nia Mitchell found it amusing. Did she look like she’d been crying?
"’Julia Adams, I’m paying today. You’d better be more polite, or I’ll ask you to leave.’"
As for any classmate sentint, that depended on how Julia Adams treated her. If Julia Adams was going to keep being so unreasonable, she didn’t mind being the bad guy for once.
Hearing Nia Mitchell’s rciless words, Julia Adams instantly flew into a rage.
"’What? You think you can bully people just because you’re paying? I’m your classmate! Today is a class reunion, and you actually want to kick out?’"
She simply couldn’t believe it. Heavens, this was a huge joke!
Julia Adams’s chest heaved with anger, instantly drawing the gazes of many male classmates.
"’Nia Mitchell, you’re really going too far. Julia was just concerned about you. How can you be like this?’"
Their male chauvinism made these n start siding with Julia Adams.
"’Keep talking like that, and I’ll ask you all to leave too.’"
"’You! Nia Mitchell, don’t be too outrageous!’"
"’That’s right, Nia Mitchell! Do you think you’re so great just because you’re treating?’"
"’This is simply bullying people too much! What’s so great about using money to pressure others?’"
