Everyone started swooning, staring dazedly at the man standing over there.
Good heavens, this man is so handso! Did he walk into the wrong room?
A man like this should be the type who gets the best and most luxurious Private Rooms at the Royal Dynasty Hotel, right? How could he possibly appear here?
Maxwell Peary’s gaze landed on Nia Mitchell imdiately. His expression softened slightly as he walked towards her.
In the quiet Private Room, the only sounds were Maxwell’s footsteps and the thumping of their hearts.
Nia Mitchell watched Maxwell approach, feeling sowhat srized.
Even though she saw him like this every day, she still felt a sense of dazed unreality, as if everything were an illusion.
An outstanding man like him was the most eye-catching sight wherever he went, captivating enough to draw the attention of the entire world.
But who would believe that a man like this was her husband?
And she was just the most ordinary person in this world.
"Finished eating?"
Maxwell was a little displeased by their stares, but because they were Nia’s classmates, he didn’t show it too strongly.
"Mm, how did you get here so quickly?"
She glanced at the ti. Wasn’t Maxwell supposed to be coming from the Company? Coming from the Company should take at least forty minutes, right? But he had only taken a little over twenty minutes.
Maxwell was montarily at a loss, unsure how to explain, and could only manage a vague sound of agreent.
Could he admit he’d sped all the way here? Usually so composed, he didn’t know what had co over him today. He was just so anxious; he’d clearly seen her this morning, and yet... He couldn’t stop thinking about her.
"If you’re done eating, let’s go."
Maxwell changed the subject; after all, he was here to take her ho.
"Alright."
Nia Mitchell smiled and agreed. Only after standing up did she rember she was at a class gathering.
Nia suddenly rembered Charles Northwood was sitting right next to her, so she quickly made the introduction. "This is Charles Northwood. I’ve been wanting to introduce you two for a long ti."
"A pleasure to et you!"
"A pleasure."
The two n shook hands, but the air crackled with tension.
Only Nia didn’t know the two of them had already t in private.
"Alright, let’s arrange to et another day. We have to get going now."
Nia smiled, then reached out and took Maxwell’s hand.
"Nia Mitchell!"
Julia Adams suddenly spoke, her cheeks slightly flushed. Apparently, she still hadn’t recovered from the shock of Maxwell’s appearance.
"Hm?"
Nia was perplexed. What is she trying to do?
"Is this your husband?"
Such an outstanding man, how could he be Nia’s husband? Julia Adams had a gentle smile on her face, but inwardly she was seething with anger. Impossible! How could Nia know such a handso man? Besides, no matter how you looked at him, he didn’t seem like a re salesman working for soone else. He clearly looked like a young boss or sothing similar. It was only then she recalled the Manager ntioning a "President Peary" earlier. President? How could that title be used to describe an ordinary employee?
"Yes." Nia smiled at Julia Adams. What else does she want to do?
"Mr. Peary?" Julia Adams looked at Maxwell Peary, her cheeks slightly flushed.
Maxwell said nothing.
Seeing him remain silent, Julia Adams felt a little awkward. Noticing they were about to leave, she quickly moved to block their path.
"Mr. Peary, did you know your wife promised to treat everyone today? She hasn’t paid the bill yet."
Julia Adams spoke brazenly, then waited for Maxwell Peary’s reaction.
HMPH! Hopefully, he’ll give Nia Mitchell a good slap!
