At noon, everyone started to go out for lunch one after another.
Nia Mitchell took her lunch box and boarded the CEO’s private elevator. This ti, after exiting the elevator, she didn’t see Sierra Wright standing by the counter.
Nia pushed open the CEO’s Grand Gate and walked in with a smile.
"Maxwell, it’s lunchti."
She hopped in joyfully, her lunch box swinging back and forth in her hand. Consequently, the Chef’s carefully arranged presentation inside... was ruined.
Seeing her lively deanor, Maxwell Peary’s expression softened considerably. He stood up and walked over to sit on the sofa.
"You seem pretty energetic today?"
Seeing her rosy little face, his mood also improved significantly.
"Yes, the weather is particularly good today, but it’s already getting a bit hot outside."
Nia pouted. Apparently, heat was sothing she disliked.
"Maxwell, can we buy so ice cream to take ho tonight?" Or maybe an Ice Cream Cake... The re thought of those cool treats made her feel refreshed from head to toe.
"No." The CEO’s refusal was imdiate as he placed another pair of chopsticks into her hand.
"Did you forget we’re trying to conceive?"
Nia faltered, her lips pouting even more, her displeasure evident.
"I didn’t forget! You’re the only one who did." With that, Nia turned her head away, refusing to look at him. So annoying.
He used a condom this morning. He clearly wasn’t planning on having a baby!If that’s the case, why did he go through all that trouble before?
Seeing her like this, Maxwell Peary rubbed his forehead, a helpless expression on his face.
"We’ve only just started adjusting our routines and daily habits; how can we rush into it so quickly? Besides, you need to take your folic acid for a while longer."
Nia hmphed. He did have a point, actually. But still... she stubbornly refused to admit she was wrong.
"You say that as if you could get pregnant on the first try. It takes ti for you too, you know!"
Little Rabina Mitchell was challenging the CEO’s limits for the second ti today.
Maxwell Peary’s face darkened. If ink were produced this way, his would be of the finest quality.
"Don’t be upset. I was just telling the truth."
Sensing the suddenly freezing atmosphere, Nia turned her head and finally saw the CEO’s expression. She imdiately started to explain, but the flicker of panic in her eyes didn’t escape Maxwell Peary’s notice.
Seeing her like this, Maxwell Peary leaned closer, stopping when their faces were a re ten centiters apart.
"This morning, was Mr. Peary’s service not to Mada Peary’s satisfaction?" he huffed, speaking through gritted teeth.
Nia’s expression turned completely rigid with embarrassnt.
"I didn’t say that! Mada Peary was very satisfied. Truly." As if afraid he wouldn’t believe her, Nia added emphatically.
She had a premonition that if she dared to say she was unsatisfied, the aroused CEO would sweep her up and carry her straight into the Waiting Room.He would use his own thods to physically ensure her satisfaction.
At this thought, Nia swallowed hard. Her waist was still faintly aching from that morning.
"Since Mada Peary is so satisfied, then Mr. Peary shall provide his services once more."
With that, Maxwell Peary swiftly scooped her into his arms and strode towards the Waiting Room.
