"Whether she’s good or bad doesn’t concern . If you’re here for Maxwell Peary, he isn’t here. You can leave now."
Nia Mitchell didn’t know what to say to these people. Luckily, they weren’t here for her, so it shouldn’t be wrong of her to show them the door.
But her attitude made Victoria Perez grit her teeth in frustration; Nia Mitchell stood there playing the saint, seemingly dismissing them with such ease.
Impossible!
"No one’s heart is as black as yours, Nia Mitchell, right? Let tell you, you better pray Young Master Peary doesn’t grow tired of you. Haven’t you already tasted what it’s like to fall into the mire?"
Victoria Perez had a sharp tongue and spared no one. So what if Robert Perez was there? She would say whatever she wanted. No one in this world had the right to shut her up.
"Victoria, watch your mouth! Have you forgotten why we’re here today?"
At this point, Robert Perez honestly regretted bringing her along. He had co to apologize and ask Young Master Peary to give the Perez Family a chance, not for Victoria to co and hurl more insults.
Victoria Perez stared at Robert Perez in disbelief, gritting her teeth in anger.
"You dare shout at ? On what grounds? What gives you the right to yell at ?"
As Victoria Perez spoke, tears stread down her face. "You have no right! I will never forgive you!"
Robert Perez froze, a wave of panic washing over him. This daughter was all he had now, his precious treasure.
"No, Victoria, I didn’t an to shout at you. Can’t you just say a little less?"
Robert Perez imdiately tried to appease his precious daughter, but Victoria Perez’s spoiled and arrogant temper wouldn’t be soothed by a few soft words.
She stood there fuming, directing all her anger onto Nia Mitchell.
"Nia Mitchell, you little hussy! I bet you’re here all alone because Young Master Peary dumped you, right?"
Victoria Perez adopted a knowing expression. Looking at Nia Mitchell, she felt a sense of malicious satisfaction.
Speechless, Nia Mitchell sat down. She popped a grape into her mouth, her cheeks puffing out as she chewed.
"Miss Perez, you don’t need to worry about my affairs. I’m doing just fine."
She smiled radiantly and shrugged nonchalantly, appearing very relaxed.
Victoria Perez bit her lip. "You’re nothing more than a woman Young Master Peary plays with on a whim. Have you ever t the elders of the Peary Clan?"
The Peary Clan—that was a tree everyone in Capital Town wanted to climb, but no one could.
The more prestigious a family was, the more particular they were about the social standing of those who joined their ranks. They wouldn’t even glance at anyone ’unclean.’
"The Peary Clan will not accept a nobody like you. Do you really think you’ve successfully latched onto soone powerful? Or do you just want to get a windfall from Young Master Peary?"
She walked up to Nia Mitchell with a smirk, triumphantly stating what she believed to be the truth.
Marrying within the sa social stratum—a tradition passed down since ancient tis.
Nia Mitchell’s hands, hidden beneath the table, clenched into fists. Her family background wasn’t just far from nobility; it wasn’t even comfortably middle class.
She had to admit, Victoria Perez’s words bothered her, especially after learning that very morning that Maxwell Peary was the CEO of MC Group.
Maxwell Peary was exceptional, so much so that he was sought after by everyone in the city.
"Victoria Perez, you’re not welco here. Please leave!"
"HAHAHA, I hit a nerve, didn’t I?"
Victoria Perez laughed loudly, standing like a victorious warrior looking down on Nia Mitchell. She then glanced at Robert Perez, who stood off to the side.
"See? I told you there was no need to co and apologize. What power does this little hussy have to make Young Master Peary deal with our Perez Family?"
