It’s over, it’s all over! That caller was definitely courting death, even daring to call a second ti. This was a complete disaster.
Maxwell Peary walked over, his expression dark, and picked up his phone. However, when he saw the caller ID, a flicker of annoyance crossed his face. That previous call must have been from Rabina Mitchell too.
"Hello?" He did his best to calm his anger. He never wanted his work-related temper to affect Rabina Mitchell.
"Uncle?" Nia Mitchell spoke in a low voice, leaning against the car and biting her lip.
"Mm," Maxwell Peary responded. Was she not having fun on her outing? Is that why she called him? Just the thought of it made Maxwell Peary feel uncomfortable.
"Uncle, are you busy right now?" Nia Mitchell asked cautiously. How on earth was she going to say it? Should she just blurt it out? Uncle, I have to bring a parent to school. Can you co? No, no, that would be too embarrassing. The CEO’s expression would definitely be priceless.
"Not busy." Maxwell Peary glanced at the managers standing there, sat back in his chair, and then spoke.
Nia Mitchell breathed a sigh of relief. Not busy ant there was hope.
"Uncle, um... I’m at school, and... um... there’s a small problem." Hearing her hesitation on the other end of the line, Maxwell Peary frowned.
"You’re not about to tell that you won’t be having dinner with tonight, or that you’re not coming back, are you?" He had let her stay ho for her break, not so she could go running around wildly. He felt for her because she was on her period and her complexion wasn’t good; his heart ached for her. He hadn’t expected her to be out gallivanting, full of energy, and then calling him, hemming and hawing...
"No." Nia Mitchell imdiately denied it.
"Then what is it?" Even if Maxwell Peary were given a hundred chances to guess, he probably wouldn’t have figured out it was about bringing a parent to school.
"Um, it’s... the Principal wants to expel and asked for my parents to co over!" Nia Mitchell hesitated for a mont, then blurted out the most direct version.

Uh... Say it again? Steeling herself, Nia Mitchell could only repeat it.
"Um... the Principal wants to expel and asked for my parents to co over." This ti, Maxwell Peary was sure he hadn’t misheard. Bring parents? He, Maxwell Peary, was actually being summoned as a parent in his lifeti? What kind of joke was this? It had to be a prank by Nia Mitchell.
"Reason!" Nia Mitchell gritted her teeth, hesitating for a mont where she stood.
"I... I took out one of your cars, Uncle. It caused a commotion at school, and then..." At least, that’s how she saw it.
"What car?" Maxwell Peary had only known that Nia Mitchell had left the villa. He didn’t know she had driven a car.
"It’s that one... the really impressive-looking one... the Maybach." She gritted her teeth, internally conflicted about whether to tell him beforehand that the car had been badly scratched. And that it looked absolutely wrecked? Ah, this was too difficult; she barely dared to breathe.
"Is this your fault?" Maxwell Peary felt a tightness in his chest, as if sothing was lodged there and he couldn’t get it out.
