She didn’t want to stay in this hellish place any longer.
Listening to Nia Mitchell’s words, Fiona Sutton nodded. She was of the sa mind.
Chairman Zhu, standing not far away, beca anxious when he saw them preparing to leave.
"Hey, don’t rush off. Leave a contact number."
As he spoke, Chairman Zhu imdiately blocked their path.
Well, it wasn’t just Chairman Zhu who stopped them, but also the four bodyguards who had been following him.
Fiona Sutton frowned. If sothing really happened, she could easily handle Chairman Zhu on her own. But there were also four bodyguards. She estimated she could only deal with two of them at most. So, no matter what, if they resorted to the strongest form of resistance, they wouldn’t gain any advantage.
Nia Mitchell also frowned. She hadn’t expected Chairman Zhu to be this detestable.
"Move, or I’m calling the police."
Nia Mitchell imdiately issued the threat, genuinely taking out her cell phone as she spoke.
Seeing her action, Chairman Zhu burst into hearty laughter.
How amusing. No one had ever said such childish things to him before. Call the police? She’d have to see if she even had the capability. So what if it was the Police Bureau? He had connections there. Who could possibly do anything to him?
"Go ahead, call the police."
Chairman Zhu looked completely unconcerned, even seeming to hope she would actually call, just so he could see her shocked expression afterward.
Seeing his attitude, Nia Mitchell gritted her teeth.
There was no other way. Although she knew it might not be very effective, still...
Nia Mitchell felt she had no choice. Caught in a bind where she couldn’t back down, she could only call the police right in front of Chairman Zhu.
"Hello?"
The call connected quickly, and Nia Mitchell spoke into the phone.
"Hello, this is the Capital Town Police Bureau."
"Hello, I need security guards. I’m at the XX Buffet Restaurant. Soone is harassing here. Please co quickly."
"Alright, may I have your na, please?"
"Nia Mitchell."
Suddenly, a CLICK sounded from the other end of the line. Nia Mitchell was startled and furrowed her brow.
"Hello? Hello?"
Strange, why did it suddenly go silent?
"Hello, Miss Mitchell!" a voice suddenly bood from the phone.
"Aw, shit!" Nia Mitchell, who was still wondering why the line had gone silent, jumped in fright.
"You scared the hell out of !" she exclaid, completely forgetting what kind of call she was on.
"I’m so sorry, so sorry! Did I frighten you?"
On the other end of the line, Director Zhang apologized profusely, frantically wiping the sweat from his forehead.
This is terrible, truly terrible! Why would this VIP call the Police Bureau? Did sothing happen?
"It’s fine."
Nia Mitchell was taken aback, not expecting such responsiveness and politeness from the Police Bureau.
It was completely unlike her previous experience when she was wrongly accused of being a car thief and couldn’t get them to listen to reason.
At that mont, Nia Mitchell had no idea why they were showing her such respect. It turned out she had beco the Police Bureau’s number one VIP. She was soone connected to Young Master Peary; the police had to be constantly on their toes around her.
Nia Mitchell’s mouth twitched as she once again explained the situation at the restaurant.
"Alright, rest assured. We will definitely send soone to handle this matter."
After the call ended, Nia Mitchell still felt sowhat incredulous, frowning as she looked at her phone.
