Maxwell Peary walked out of the bathroom with a basin of warm water, only to see Nia Mitchell lying on the bed with her eyes closed.
Thinking she was asleep, he moved cautiously, not making any noise.
With her eyes shut, Nia was drowsy. Suddenly, she felt soone taking off her shoes.
It must be Uncle.
At this thought, the corners of her lips curved slightly.
Maxwell carefully removed her shoes, then her socks.
Before him were two little red feet. She must have walked quite a distance.
Thinking so, he gently placed her feet in the water.
EEK!
Nia quickly opened her eyes and sat up with a sudden jolt.
"Uncle!"
She abruptly pulled her feet out.
Maxwell, who was squatting on the ground, was caught off guard and knocked over by her feet. Silence descended.
Struggling to suppress the anger rising within him, Maxwell slowly stood up. His face was dark, and he glared at Nia with pursed lips.
"It wasn’t intentional," Nia uttered faintly, a forced smile on her face.
"Was the water too hot?" Maxwell asked.
"No, it wasn’t!" Nia denied right away. It wasn’t hot at all. Even if it were truly hot, she would deny it now.
Seeing her earnest little face, Maxwell once again suppressed his anger.
"Then why did you pull your feet back?"
If the water wasn’t hot, what motivated such a big reaction? She must have done it deliberately!
Nia bit her lip. She was just so astonished that the CEO was washing her feet for her!
Seeing him so angry, Nia started panicking. Not knowing what to do, she suddenly stood up, stepping into the basin with both feet.
A kiss ca without warning.
Maxwell’s eyes widened. He couldn’t seem to react. This Rabina Mitchell... she had actually taken the initiative to kiss him under such circumstances?
Maxwell felt as if fireworks were exploding all around him. What was this feeling? Why did it seem so unreal to him?
Nia, struggling to control her trembling, imitated the CEO’s style, continuously kissing him. Carefully prying his lips apart, she tentatively extended her tongue.
BOOM!
Maxwell’s world crumbled!
"MMPH..."
Instantly, he switched from passive to active, wrapping one arm around her waist while his other hand rested on the back of her head, deepening the kiss.
「The next day.」
Nia lazily opened her eyes, sowhat disoriented.
Turning her head, she saw Maxwell lying next to her, awake and looking at her.
Nia giggled.
"Uncle, good morning!"
She bead a sweet smile, her small face flushed.
Seeing her like this, he desperately wanted to pounce on her and ravage her right then and there.
But he couldn’t.
She still had to go to the hospital today.
"Uncle, wake up."
Nia crawled out from under the covers and, sitting up, began to put on her clothes one by one.
"Sleep a little more," he said, stopping her actions.
"No, I can’t. I need to go to the hospital. And also, I’m hungry."
Nia didn’t tell the CEO that she hadn’t eaten dinner last night.
After making several trips back and forth to the hospital, and then being thoroughly exhausted by a certain CEO twice during the night, she was famished.
"Hungry?"
Upon hearing this, Maxwell imdiately sat up. His muscular and perfect upper body was fully exposed, bearing marks left by Nia.
Ah, so embarrassing!
"What do you want to eat?"
Without wasting a second, Maxwell got out of bed. He wore only his underwear, his chiseled, muscular body on full display.
