Mr. Mitchell was considering Nia’s interests above all. And what if Maxwell Peary changes his mind before the wedding? Would they have to divorce silently? Nia, in truth, was still very naive and didn’t know how to look out for herself at all. Even Aldy Mitchell, lying on the simple bed, had thought through the reasoning, but Nia still hadn’t.

Nia Mitchell pouted. Why do they have to ddle in sothing like having children?
Maxwell nodded. He understood Mr. Mitchell’s concerns and didn’t refuse.
"Alright."
Maxwell agreed instantly, which made Nia Mitchell anxious.
"But we had already..."
Nia bit her lip. They had already planned to try for a baby. How could he agree to Father’s condition now?
"Dad, we... we were preparing to have a baby. And he’s already thirty years old."
Nia’s implication was simple: He’s already thirty. Isn’t it a bit too cruel to make him wait another year for a child?
However, upon hearing this, Maxwell’s expression turned dangerous.
What did Rabina Mitchell just say? Thirty years old? Haha. Did he not demand enough from her last night that she has no mory of it at all? He was clearly only twenty-nine, so how had he beco thirty? Besides, what did his age have to do with wanting a child? What he couldn’t tolerate the most was... was Rabina Mitchell implying he was old?
Mr. Mitchell was startled. He had indeed felt this man seed a bit mature before, but looking closely at his face today, he didn’t think he looked that old. He really doesn’t look like he’s already thirty.
"He’s that old already?" Mr. Mitchell was purely exclaiming out of surprise, not remarking on the age gap between Maxwell and Nia.
But he didn’t know that ever since marrying Nia, the thing Maxwell cared about most was others comnting on his age. Especially after marrying Nia.
"Yes, Dad. His family is also pushing for this, so we are planning... to have a child." Nia blinked, sounding very unnatural as she said this. It was too embarrassing for her to bring this up.
"Don’t listen to her nonsense." Maxwell frowned, directly contradicting Nia. "I never planned to have children so early anyway. She’s too young."
This was Maxwell’s genuine thought: Nia is too young. He couldn’t bear to let her suffer the pain of childbirth so early. Moreover, Nia’s personality still needed to mature properly. How could such a lively Rabina Mitchell ever settle down? He wouldn’t feel at ease letting her carry a child.
Mr. Mitchell nodded. Because of this, his opinion of Maxwell improved considerably. This man... he’s good, really good. If he can always treat Nia well, he’ll be an excellent husband. He felt very gratified. Nia may be a fool, but she has a fool’s luck to have t such a good man.
"How am I small?" Nia Mitchell imdiately flared up. He’s always saying I’m young, but I haven’t said anything about him being old!
Has a certain Nia Mitchell conveniently forgotten? Didn’t she just say the CEO was old? She even added an extra year.
