Maxwell Peary never thought that Nia Mitchell would use his own words against him.
He had a bit of a feeling like shooting himself in the foot, which made him a bit unhappy.
It’s really freaking annoying.
"I just didn’t want you to be too bored at that ti."
Maxwell imdiately retorted. Initially, when he asked her to be the secretary, it was actually more about wanting to get along with her well.
Working here ans they can spend more ti together, right?
If they were apart, who knows when feelings would develop.
Of course, Nia never knew about the CEO’s thoughts.
"I’m not bored at all."
She could find a job; there is no shortage of work in Capital Town. The key is whether she wants to do it.
She could take her ti to find one, and besides, she hasn’t officially graduated yet and still needs to sort out her thesis and such.
"If you’re not bored, then start being a full-ti housewife at ho now."
Maxwell frowned unhappily. His good intentions were all ruined by her.
Nia:......
Full-ti housewife?
Excuse , Young Master Peary, where is the need in your house?
A full-ti housewife at least cooks, does laundry, and cleans, right?
If she stops working and stays at ho, wouldn’t she just sit there watching others bustling around?
No, no, no.
That would really be too boring.
"What can I do at ho? No one needs , and I have no kids to take care of."
After many won get married, they resign mostly because of children.
Kids need their mother, so won can only stay at ho.
But she doesn’t have any kids now. Forget about taking care of children; even maternity leave is not possible.
After Nia said those words, the whole Office Room fell silent.
Uh...
Nia blinked. Why did she feel like the CEO’s expression was a bit off?
Could it be she said sothing wrong?
But it shouldn’t be.
"You want kids?"
This wasn’t the first ti Nia brought up kids. Sotis, he found it quite puzzling.
He was twenty-nine and not worried about kids, so why was she, at twenty, wanting kids so much?
Could this be the difference between n and won?
"Uh, no, I don’t."
Nia quickly turned her face away, directly denying it.
No, no, no,
What she said didn’t an that at all. The CEO always interprets things differently than how she says them.
Talking past each other!
"You do."
Maxwell was very sure that Nia did want kids.
Nia:......
"No, I don’t."
"Yes, you do."
Oh, geez!
Nia looked annoyed, and the temperature of her cheeks rose again.
"Fine, fine, if you say I do, then I want kids, okay? Will you give them to ?"
"Um..."
Maxwell reached out and pulled her over forcefully, then lowered his head to seal her chattering little mouth.
The soft sensation connected straight to the core, making his whole body tingle.
Nia, overwheld, reached out to slap Maxwell’s chest. How did it lead to a kiss out of nowhere?
"Um..."
She wanted him to let go, but as soon as she opened her mouth, he pried open her teeth effortlessly, delving into her, teasing and entwining.
After a long while, Maxwell gently pulled away, and Nia was already leaning completely against him.
"I’ve been drinking wine and smoking these past few days."
Suddenly, Maxwell blurted out.
Nia’s mind was still a bit hazy, and when she heard Maxwell’s words, she frowned.
So, what did he an by that?
