Nia Mitchell couldn’t ask anything, so she ultimately just put away the passbook and directly opened the door to leave the bedroom.

The tense atmosphere in the living room shifted dramatically.

Molly Harguez timidly leaned back, a bit scared, unsure of what this man intended to do.
Originally, she knew Aldy Mitchell had called Nia back, thinking she could gain so benefits.
But unexpectedly, Nia actually brought this man along; not only that, earlier she intended to follow Aldy Mitchell into the bedroom.
Yet, with just one glance from this man, her fear rooted her in place.
All she could do was stand there, her whole body tense.
Finally, exhausted from standing, she sat down.
"You’ve been crying."
No doubt, Maxwell Peary was certain about this point, and after speaking, he raised his head, his cold eyes eting Aldy Mitchell who followed behind Nia.

Aldy Mitchell froze, as if being stared down by a fierce predator; fear arose from within, rendering him speechless and seemingly freezing his ability to step forward.
"It’s nothing."
Nia’s face lit up with a smile, revealing her two little tiger teeth, and Maxwell’s heart lted instantaneously.
He reached out to pull her over, settling her on his lap.
"If you say it’s nothing, then I believe you. Since there’s nothing going on now, let’s leave here first."
As he spoke, Maxwell pulled Nia up with him.
Aldy Mitchell only then regained his ability to move, his forehead beading with sweat.
"Not staying to eat?"
Aldy Mitchell suggested, almost reflexively.

Molly Harguez instantly sucked in a sharp breath, hoping they would absolutely not agree, absolutely not.
Dining with Young Master Peary might cut one’s life by ten years, and certainly lead to indigestion.
