Seeing Nia Mitchell run away so fast she disappeared in the blink of an eye, Maxwell Peary didn’t bother to chase after her imdiately. Instead, he stood still and looked at the butler.
"When the lady is at work this afternoon, if the flowers die, rember to replace them with identical ones."
Frederick Goldsmith nodded repeatedly, looking at the flowers with a heartache. Madam, are you aware of how much money these flowers cost?
Watching Maxwell Peary walking away, Frederick Goldsmith shook his head in disbelief. Such extravagance! What a waste!
Nia Mitchell went back to her Bedroom, changed into her housewear, and only saw Maxwell Peary entering their ho and changing his shoes on the long bench after she got down the stairs.
"Uncle, you’re so slow. Are you getting old?"
Nia Mitchell strutted over, her lips pouting. He clearly wasn’t competing with her, and yet she had run back like a madwoman alone. How boring!
Ugh.
Maxwell Peary stopped in the middle of changing his shoes and looked up at Nia Mitchell, who had already co over.
"I wouldn’t mind showing you tonight whether or not I’m old."
"You!"
Nia Mitchell’s little face turned red. How dared he say such embarrassing words while looking so serious? She wanted to bury herself in a hole out of embarrassnt.
"What’s wrong with ?"
Maxwell Peary smiled, finished changing his shoes, and tidied up the shoes that Nia Mitchell had tossed aside.
"How many tis do I have to tell you? Eh? Is anyone chasing you? At least put your shoes away properly."
Nia Mitchell pouted, "Wasn’t it about who got ho first?"
He was blaming her for not putting away her shoes properly. It was so unfair.
Maxwell Peary chuckled. He supposed if there was no race, she would put away her shoes properly. Why didn’t he believe that?
"Well, no one was racing you to change clothes, right? I’m going to go see if the clothes you changed out of..."
Before Maxwell Peary finished his sentence, Nia Mitchell turned and sprinted to the Bedroom. Seeing her react like this, he helplessly stood up and took off his suit jacket.
"Master, would you like to have your al first?"
The butler had co over. Dinner was ready in the kitchen, just waiting for the master’s command.
"I’ll go upstairs and ask the lady later."
Maxwell Peary walked upstairs with his suit jacket on his arm. Who knows what mischief that little Rabina Mitchell was getting up to while he wasn’t around.
Sure enough, when he opened the Bedroom door, he caught sight of a certain woman rolling non-stop on the bed.
Hearing the door open, Nia Mitchell froze. She turned to look at Maxwell Peary, who was walking in.
"Uncle."
Nia Mitchell sprang up from the bed imdiately. Unable to decipher Maxwell Peary’s expression, she awkwardly patted the bed a few tis and straightened the duvet.
"I’ve already tidied up, so don’t you nag."
Nia Mitchell stood there biting her lip, looking like a guilty schoolgirl awaiting scolding. Perhaps because she also felt this was too childish, she added that last sentence with so emotion.
Maxwell Peary took a deep breath. "It’s okay, keep rolling. I’d like to roll too."
He said it with a smirk, and his words left Nia Mitchell stunned. She completely hadn’t expected him to say that.
"Eh? So you don’t think it’s improper?"
Watching Maxwell Peary walk over, Nia Mitchell was a bit puzzled. This wasn’t Uncle Peary’s style.
Before she could fully grasp Maxwell Peary’s aning, her lips were suddenly kissed.
"MMH..."
Nia Mitchell’s eyes widened as his arm tightened around her waist, pulling her firmly into his embrace.
And then they both tumbled onto the large bed in the Bedroom. Nia Mitchell finally understood; *this* was what Maxwell Peary had ant by his words!!!
