They were so afraid that Dong Mingfeng and the others forgot to question a glaring inconsistency—wasn't it said that Lin Tang, backed by the gods, had done many appalling things and was to be executed? Why then was the Execution Team's slogan "Anyone related to Shen Youling must die"?
At that mont, they only wanted to save their own lives. For that, they were willing to pay any price.
"As her parents and sister, are you truly willing to identify her and testify against her?"

Zhu Yingning's subordinates took their roles very seriously. So were responsible for questioning, so for recording, and others for filming everything with a cara, claiming it was a hallmark of their impartial law enforcent.
Dong Mingfeng and the others couldn't tell the difference. Besides, they were indeed wearing the uniforms of the Execution Team—freshly stripped from corpses. In short, they did whatever they were told.
With a cold smirk, Zhu Yingning deliberately listed a long string of Shen Youling's alleged cris. She even included fabricated childhood incidents, like forcing a male classmate to wear girls' clothing and making a female classmate smoke.
"Sign it!"

Dong Mingfeng and the others weren't illiterate. A cursory glance told them that many of the charges were utterly preposterous. How could Shen Youling have possibly done those things? And would a prestigious force like the Execution Team really seek justice over such trivial matters?
"What, you don't want to sign now? In that case..." Zhu Yingning glared at them again.
"No, no, no! We're willing to sign, we'll sign right away!"
The three of them exchanged glances. The authorities are only targeting Shen Youling; these so-called cris are just a pretext. It's to be expected that the charges are fabricated. Whether we sign or not, they're going to deal with her however they want. If we sign, we can save ourselves, so it's not a bad thing.
With this rationalization, they signed their nas with a flurry of strokes, feeling no psychological burden.
But Zhu Yingning, harboring ill intent, then demanded that each of them list one hundred of Shen Youling's major cris.

Seeing this, Shen Jiayue followed suit, her pen flying across the paper as she furiously scribbled a long list of Shen Youling's supposed misdeeds.
Shen Xin's fingers trembled, nearly crushing the pen in his grip.
"That's my own dear daughter," he choked out. "How can I, her father, spread rumors to harm her? How could I bear to do such a thing!"
Yet, before the handcuffs could be clamped on him, he involuntarily began to write.
Just like that, thanks to their efforts, a freshly minted list of accusations against Shen Youling, sprawling across three full pages, was complete.
Zhu Yingning scanned the docunts, then mockingly read a few of the charges aloud. "Since Shen Youling is so cruel, vile, shaless, disloyal, unfilial, and unkind, you're not going to sever all ties with her? What, do you want to be complicit, beco the sa kind of wicked people, and be sentenced to death yourselves?"
"We're willing to sever our ties with her! We'll write the declaration of severance right now!"
Having already reported and exposed her, Dong Mingfeng and the others didn't hesitate for a second. They imdiately wasted another sheet of paper to write a statent disowning Shen Youling, signing it and stamping it with their fingerprints.
"Good. Excellent. I appreciate you sacrificing family for righteousness," Zhu Yingning said, collecting all the papers with a satisfied nod.
"So... we should be in the clear now, right?"
"Can we leave?"
"Are you in a rush?" Zhu Yingning asked with a smile. "Seeing your strong sense of justice, I was actually planning to have you lead the way, personally arrest Shen Youling, and then execute her yourselves."
"What?!"
", her mother, execute her with my own hands?"
"I... as her father, I couldn't bring myself to do it!" Shen Xin was on the verge of collapse.
Even Dong Mingfeng, who was typically materialistic and often gave Shen Youling a hard ti, was extrely conflicted and distressed.
Shen Jiayue's expression, however, flickered between several emotions before settling into a grim resolve. She suddenly stood up and declared righteously, "I will lead the way, and I will do it myself! It's just a matter of sacrificing family for righteousness. I'll do it!"
"Jiayue, are you insane? That's your sister! You're going to kill her with your own hands?"
"I'm not insane! Since we've already disowned her, she's no longer my sister. Killing her is better than suffering myself!"
"You..."
"Don't say another word. Otherwise, it'll be the two of you going instead. Do you want that?"
"I..."
Dong Mingfeng and Shen Xin fell silent, watching helplessly as Shen Jiayue departed with Zhu Yingning and her group, heading for Lin Tang's residential complex.
"Sob... Why is our life so miserable?" Dong Mingfeng wailed.
"Don't... don't cry," Shen Xin stamred. "Since Youling can't escape this, she's going to die anyway. What difference does it make if Jiayue kills her or so stranger does?"
They desperately wanted to turn and flee Jiangbei forever, but their feet involuntarily carried them along, following Zhu Yingning's group from a distance to watch.
Soon, they arrived inside the residential complex. Instead of going upstairs, Zhu Yingning produced a gaphone and started shouting, demanding that Shen Youling surrender and co down to be taken into custody.
Her voice bood from the gaphone, and many people, both inside and outside the complex, heard the commotion. They gathered curiously to see what was happening.
Huang Jifen, who had once worked as a nanny at Lin Tang's ho and now lived nearby, witnessed the entire scene.
