Lee Encai, Pei Huixian, and the entire Li Family were far too hospitable. Lee Encai even personally ran off to tidy up a room, folding the quilt and making the bed. However, it was obvious this young heiress had never done housework before. When she tried to lay the sheet, it would either bunch up on one side or lie wrinkled on the other.
Pei Huixian couldn't stand to watch any longer and shooed her aside to give a hands-on demonstration. As she bent at the waist, her stunning curves were on full display.
Lin Tang... also couldn't bear to watch. He turned and went out into the courtyard, casually inspecting the Li Family's villa. As he looked around, he muttered, "Huh?"
"Big Brother Lin, what's wrong?"
"Your house has a bit of history, doesn't it?"
"Yes, our family is rather traditional and prefers a classic Chinese style. Living in an old residence like this feels more comfortable than a new, European-style one."
"That explains it."
"What do you an?"
"The feng shui layout of your ho is problematic. Living here for an extended period can easily lead to heart problems. That Granny Qian you ntioned also used this to trigger your heart conditions."
"Ah?" Lee Encai was shocked and hurriedly called Li Weihai and the others over.
"Feng shui?"
"Master Lin, are you serious?"
"You not only know dicine and martial arts, but you understand feng shui as well?"
To be honest, they were a bit skeptical. How could one young man be an expert in everything? But recalling the miracles Lin Tang had already perford, they couldn't help but wonder. What if it was true?
"Then what should we do? Should we move out completely? Or redecorate?"
"You don't need to move, nor do you need to redecorate. Allow to inspect it in detail, and then I'll help you make so adjustnts," Lin Tang said, shaking his head.
He had to admit that feng shui wasn't his strongest suit. His master, the Heavenly Fate Diviner, was the true expert in this field. A simple wave of his hand could solve the problem instantly. His own thod... would probably take about an hour.
After a while, Lin Tang had walked through every corner and began to adjust the architectural layout. Lee Encai and the others couldn't understand the specifics of his work, but since he wasn't tearing down walls or breaking pillars, they let him be.
Just as Lin Tang was about to cut down an ornantal tree, suddenly, a horde of grotesque insects sward out from a crevice, flying straight for his face.
BOOM!
True Qi burst forth, colliding with them. They were imdiately blasted to pieces, their broken bodies raining down. At the sa ti, from the very top of the tree, an insect that resembled both a cockroach and a cicada shot into the sky, fleeing at high speed.
"Ah, that bug looks exactly like the one Yan Luoyang spat out!" Lee Encai exclaid.
The others' faces paled once again. They hadn't expected Granny Qian to have left such a ghastly thing behind. What did she intend to do?
"She was using it to monitor you," Lin Tang explained. "It seems they didn't plan to kill you completely. They left the bug as a failsafe so they could lift the curse at a specific ti, making you feel fear and giving them more leverage to control you."
"Is that bug flying back to the old woman now? Could it alert her, leading to another sneak attack...?"
"Quick, shoot that damn bug down!"
"It's already flown so high, how can we possibly hit it..."
WHOOSH!
Lin Tang suddenly drew his sword and flicked it toward the sky. A beam of light flashed past. In the blink of an eye, the antique sword crossed a hundred ters and obliterated the bug. Then, with a graceful leap, Lin Tang caught the falling sword and sheathed it.
"Wow, so cool!" Lee Encai clapped enthusiastically, her palms turning red.
Just then, his phone rang. Lin Tang answered it with a calm expression. It was Wei Zichu, explaining the situation with Yue Songhe.
"What a load of crap," Lin Tang scoffed, then said directly into the phone, "Tell him to co if he has the guts!"
He dismissed the matter and continued altering the feng shui. His work was interrupted when Yue Songhe arrived. With his foot on Wei Zichu, he called out arrogantly, "Who is Lin Tang? Get out here and kneel!"
Seeing his brazen audacity and how brutally he treated Wei Zichu, Wei Shanhe's eyes burned with a rage so intense it felt they might split. He began kowtowing repeatedly while the entire Li Family held their breath, not daring to make a sound.
"Fuck you!"
Suddenly, wrapped in a gust of wind, Lin Tang rushed before Yue Songhe with the speed of a lightning strike. He gave him a taste of his own dicine, delivering a swift kick.
"No!" Wei Shanhe cried out, but he was too late to stop him.
Yue Songhe was utterly unprepared. He believed that no one in their right mind would dare to attack him. Unless they wanted their entire family to die! Besides, even if he had been on guard, how could he possibly have dodged a kick fueled by Lin Tang's fury?
THUD!
He spat out a mouthful of blood and was sent flying a great distance. While he was still dazed, Lin Tang stomped on his face, grinding his foot back and forth. Yue Songhe howled in agony.
"Master Lin, please stop!" Wei Shanhe's face turned ashen as he strained to pull Lin Tang away.
Lin Tang was confused. "He treated your granddaughter like that, and you're still protecting him?"
"I'm not protecting him; I'm trying to stop you from digging your own grave! He's a disciple of Elder Zheng!"
"So what?"
"Elder Zheng is a grandmaster of martial arts, that's what!"
"What do I care if he's a martial arts grandmaster? If he dares to steal my things, I'll cut him down all the sa!"
"You... you... you..." Wei Shanhe trembled from head to toe. He truly felt Lin Tang was deaf to reason, a perfect example of casting pearls before swine. "Lin Tang, oh, Lin Tang, how can you be so arrogant and ignorant? Do you really think that just because you ambushed Yan Renjie and got lucky with that divine sword, you can look down on everyone? The terror of a martial arts grandmaster is sothing a peak Innate warrior cannot possibly compare to. You're finished. You're completely finished."
His tone was weary, and his already old face looked even more haggard. He felt the entire True Martial Association would be dragged down by Lin Tang's recklessness. It was all over.
Trembling, Yue Songhe took out a rather precious Healing dicine pill and swallowed it. His complexion recovered slightly, but he was overco with incandescent rage. He sat up and bellowed, "I'm declaring it now: all of you are going to die!"
He gasped for a few breaths, his face a mask of savagery. "Lin Tang, is it? So high and mighty, so impressive. You don't even have respect for my master! Fine. I will show you the consequences. I will make sure everyone connected to you—every single person, even a three-year-old child—dies right in front of your eyes..."
Lin Tang forcefully broke free from Wei Shanhe's grasp, grabbed Yue Songhe by the roots of his hair, and lifted him up like a dog. With his other hand, he drew his sword and pressed it against his neck. A thin line of blood appeared as more beads seeped out and dripped down.
"Then I'll just have you die first," Lin Tang said without expression, ready to sever his head.
Wei Shanhe clung to him like glue. "You mustn't, you mustn't!"
Lin Tang asked curiously, "Well, I already hit him, and he says he's going to kill everyone connected to . If I kill him now, the consequences can't get any worse, can they?"
"Er, that—" Wei Shanhe was stunned. That seems to make sense. Hitting Yue Songhe ant fatal retaliation. Killing him... at worst, the outco would be the sa. It wouldn't get any more severe.
Lin Tang continued to press his point. "I say we kill him to silence him, then stage it as a robbery where the body's been dumped. As long as we all stick to the sa story—that we never even saw him—then there won't be any problems, right?"
"Hmm, that makes sense," Wei Shanhe nodded, seeming convinced.
Yue Songhe's eyes bulged. He blustered, trying to hide his fear, "You dare! Secrets always get out. With my master's brilliance, he would see through your ruse at a glance! He's a top-tier divination master. Do you really think he couldn't divine the true culprit?"
"So what if he does? If I let you go now, you'll just find another way to kill anyway." Lin Tang flicked his wrist, deepening the cut on his neck.
"...Don't, don't, don't! I won't kill you, I promise! Just let go! I forgive you," Yue Songhe's tone changed in an instant.
He cursed this madman Lin Tang in his heart. He could feel that Lin Tang was serious about killing him, without a shred of hesitation or concern. He had no desire to get himself killed by so reckless fool over a mont of pride.
"You really forgive ? No hard feelings?"
"Really, I do."
"But how can I trust you not to go back on your word?"
"I... I'll swear an oath, how about that? I, Yue Songhe, swear that if you let go and treat with respect, I will not seek revenge. If I do, may I be struck down by lightning!"
Seeing Lin Tang's sword still slowly cutting into his flesh, Yue Songhe had no choice but to swallow his pride and surrender.
"Just getting struck by lightning isn't enough. You have to add this: if you break your oath, you're a pig and a dog, and your master is even worse."
"What?! You... you have so nerve! How dare you call my master worse than a pig and a dog?!" Yue Songhe was utterly stunned. He had never t anyone as audacious as Lin Tang in his entire life.
"Weren't you about to say the sa thing in your oath?" Lin Tang taunted.
"I was not!" Yue Songhe protested.
In the end, he couldn't out-stubborn Lin Tang and reluctantly added the new line to his oath. He cursed his luck internally. If his master ever found out he swore an oath calling him worse than a pig and a dog, he would surely fly into a thunderous rage and might even expel him from the sect. Dammit, how did it co to this?
This can actually work? Wei Shanhe and the others wore bizarre expressions. Watching the once-imperious Yue Songhe beco so utterly submissive under Lin Tang's control felt completely surreal.
Once in the Li Family's living room, Li Weihai personally served tea, terrified that Yue Songhe would take his anger out on them. Just as Yue Songhe was about to bring up the divine sword again, Lin Tang, after confirming Wei Zichu was fine, went back to adjusting the feng shui.
"Hey!" Enraged, Yue Songhe followed him. After watching for only a mont, he exclaid in surprise, "You're just a kid, yet you dabble in feng shui? Wait, what on earth is this new layout you're creating? No one arranges a feng shui formation like this! This is absolute nonsense!"
The more he looked, the angrier he beca. He grabbed Li Weihai and bellowed, "Your house's original feng shui was perfectly fine! Now he's ssing it all up and turning it into a death trap! And you're just going to let him bring ruin to your entire family?"
"Huh??" The Li Family was dumbstruck.
